Specific rap artists are destroying the morals and integrity of our society. I will agree with you on that. Although rap is not the main genre i listen to i do appreciate some of it. I enjoy old outkast like aquemini or some jurassic 5. Be more specific in your accusations as im sure more people will share some common ground in that scenario.

hip hop is a culture, not a music. rap comes from hip hop culture.
we are in the era of mainstream HIP-POP, RAP and true hip-hop are not as prevalent.

And most of the rap today is what I call "street rap".. like gangsta rap but more or less its just bragging about how much money they have and how many "bitches" they can get.. Has almost nothing to do with music and hip hop imho..The only thing that relates it to hip hiop is the fact that hip hop has always been about swagger and bragging, but more so about your rhyming or djing or dancing skills.. Not about "how much paper I can stack".. But music is the soundtrack of our lives .. And the music of today is just a reflection of our society today.

It's actually that mindset that is destroying our society.. Maybe if the population of earth was 100 it would destroy society because everyone would be rolling around shooting eachother, but we live in a diverse world.

(ie: "You choose to smoke cannabis, therefor you're a deadbeat who will never amount to anything')

I think the media has alot to do with how the world is.. Especially TV like MTV etc.. Its sad some of the shit they show on MTV.. And 90% of all rap videos are gloryfying drug dealing and show women shakin there ases like thats what women are supposed to be like etc..Teens see this shit and aspire to be like these ppl in these vids.. no one can deny that.
