I have a collective for 3 years and a registered cooperative that I used to grow for a large LA club that was closed just this year.I have all paper work but the business license/Board of equalization.I have all Tax EIN papers and awaiting a visit to the local Board of equalization.Fully legit in the eyes of the State,What do I need to take meds out to the customer rather then greedy clubs? Is this also being shut down or can I just go to the board of equalization and get all I need?

More power to you if you have realistic prices. You would be changing the game. $200 ounces is ridicilous.. and thats what they cost at dispensaries.

$200 Ounces is far from ridiculous if its QUALITY. If the dispensaries are selling ounces of top shelf for 200 dollars I feel bad for the growers they are ripping off. 175-200 an ounce is what the dispensary should be paying....since they are actually charging 320-380 for top shelf.

DELIVERY SERVICES

Although state law has no explicit provision for delivery services, they can be justified on the grounds that many patients lack transportation and cannot grow for themselves. The best way to organize a delivery service is as a non-profit cooperative or collective. The management should be in the hands of the membership, not a single individual. (See definitions of collective and cooperative above.)

Also the fee in San Fran is $9000 to start up, back ground check, but because im not located there the laws do not apply.
Think of it, several people in my collective live there in small apartments. How can they grow? How can they afford Cheap meds? They cant unless they join my club.

I am only doing research, visiting the board of equalization and then the health department.

Ill post back when I get all the permits (Or not) I mean they cant make them unnavigable can they?

No, see you are looking at the profit end of things. Collectives/dispensaries are only supposed to profit enough to cover overhead and wages. That doesnt mean they can buy bud for $50 an oz and sell it for $200. Thats far from compassionate. I know vendors, and I go to the dispensaries. Some "top shelf" will be sold to the dispensary for like $100 an oz, and the dispensary will sell it for $300. Its a plant, thats crazy.

I understand where you are coming from, I really do but it's not just a plant. It takes time and money to grow it, not to mention that to produce real top quality A+ herb is an art. It takes a lot of effort to learn to not only grow the plant to it's fullest potential, but to dry it and cure it correctly. And despite it's quasi legality or how things should be, every grower takes a huge risk. There is a cost to that risk that the end user has to pay for because without that risk there would be nothing for them to purchase. If you want herb without that risk cost than you have to grow it yourself and take on that risk your self.

No, im not after making money actually.
Each plant cost me $500 in materials, labor was a massive cost, all new organic soil, most expensive nutrients.

I actually make no money, Iv never got more then $500 personal spending in the years iv done this and sadly I actually owe that money back to a patient.
I just find therapy growing medicine, it makes me forget the horrors that happened to me because I have to sit there for hours every day in the hot sun helping the plants.

Its at best harder then a roofing guy and when it hits 90 to 110 I have to put water on my head and body to keep working.

Plus im at home all day so Ill likely never get laid.

Yes clubs in LA are the biggest rippers!

I wonder how far a not for prophet cannabis member owned club, city sanctioned would work?

I remember a few years ago in the city of Santa Cruz donated a building and it was a member driven cooperative and completely prophet free.
It was closed and forfeited lol.

Really if we could take the money out of the equation then I could get back to what I like to do, growing meds.
I could care less about making money.

Id love if every city had a week end no pay meet-up event where guys could completely donate meds 100% free.
100% no money involved. Perhaps if it was like one bag of soil per bag of medicine per week with lots of actual cancer patients either showing up or their care givers picking up oils and tinctures.
Lots of pretty women handing out a weeks supply of free Edibles! (I know edibles cost almost noting per dozen!)

I had asked around for a Hospice that was willing to take 100% free meds, but the clubs I ask that do a big record skip face palm look, they don't understand the idea of compassion.

But lastly im told 100% free is always doomed to failure.

I never give up hope!

Where is Johnny Pot seed!

FREE THE WEED MAKE IT FREE ALSO!

Yeah Id donate to a LA free clinic.

I like the way you think man. Im not even asking for free meds, just affordable meds. I dont mind organically grown outdoor buds that cost almost nothing to produce, just dont try and ask $150 for the ounce. Thats almost pure profit. I have a family and bills and shit, but also medical conditions that wud otherwise have me hooked on opiates and other habit forming drugs.

While typing out this senseless rant did you ever stop to think that maybe some ppl arent able to grow like that? I can only grow a few small plants once a year, that gives me a couple ounces.. enuf for a month or 2. The rest of the year I have to buy from other ppl... asshole.

Id never smoke weed that cost almost nothing to grow.
I spent $1000 on finishing nutrients alone.
I wish my employee worked for free. Most of the "Patients" I grow for are unable to grow as they are OLD and or infirmed.
One had shown up but was able to work for 1 hour a day before he has to stop due to his Hep-C

Cannabis is a very picky plant, they are like little babies and some will up and get sick and die after you spent $1000 on nutrients, dirt.

Come on, for some people its not about getting stoned and watching the Led zeppelin laser light show.

One person I grow for has crippling debilitating deformed arthritis.
Ill tell him he better pack up some 50 pound fox farm bags if he wants any more free meds.

Easier said than done for some to grow their own.

Last year my mom got sicker and sicker, to the point where she could not keep things down. Even water was coming back up so I could not get her 'doctor meds' in her.

She could never have grown it on her own. Even if she knew how, which she did not, she was too sick to do so. And I had no clue either.

It was only because others were willing to grow and get it to a dispensary that she was able to get the only medicine that was helping her.

That said, it's not cheap to grow, at least in any measurable quantity. I have about $3,000 invested just to get started. Then I will have the reoccurring expenses such as soils, nutes and electricity at .32 kWh.

We could afford to pay for her meds and we did. But I know there are those in tough financial situations.

In a perfect world, we could charge those who could afford it and discount / provide for free those who cannot.

In a perfect world....

Dude, if your putting that many nutes into ur bud I wudnt want to smoke it anyway. When ppl load their plants up with chemical nutes that shit becomes toxic like fucking cigarettes. Im looking for medicine. Grown organically with water, light, and shit.

I would love to see you provide proof for those statements.
