I have a ferrari with no license, Help growmies!

Hello! Rookie grower here attempting my first grow, just finished my whole badass setup tonight but I feel like I have an airplane without a pilot licence. Please watch the video linked on vimeo and let me know all your thoughts I could really use some of you guys expertise, any advice is welcome especially any info on the feeding schedules and air circulation! Thanks for taking the time!!

lol get some seeds in a shot glass for a couple hours then put them in your medium.

Your setup is great, dont overcomplicate it at this poing. Raise your light up about 3 more feet and put the dimmer to 20% or so.

Thanks brother i m about to put the 55 seeds in some 1% hydrogen peroxide water, i plan on leaving them in there for 24h, the super silve sour diesel silver haze its a very uncommon strain so i idk how long the breeder had these seeds, i wanna make sure they wake up properly, what are your toughts on the medium? 70%coco-perlite 20% brut worm castings 7.5% biochar 2.5% azomite mironized. thanks soo much for the feedback !!

55 seeds seems excessive for your first grow.

How big is your tent? Im going to suggest getting like 8 seeds down if youre just doing regs. If feminized do like 6

I definitely agree but the fomo of not finding the feno I like its crazy so i am willing to risk. in my mind if i only sprout 20 seeds therefore have around 10 females maybe the pheno i like its hidden between the other 20 i didn t sprout lol. i am definitely making the step longer than my leg but i am confident i can do a fair job. thanks for your feedback!

Hey thanks for your answer, the tent is 2.3x4.6 by spiderfarmer total sqf 10.6, the plan is to germinate 55 seeds with 50 seeds being succesful, then i am gonna pull out the males, i will top them and put the toppings in the other tent and after stabilize flip them to flower for sexing the mains, statistically i should end up with 20 to 30 females, I will select the strongest and most aromatic 18 and flower them in 1 gal pots. after they flower i will select the 1 or 2 or 3 phenos i like and start cloning from them, eventually i wanna have only 2-3 plants growing in the main tent. what do you think? thanks again

What if all of them germinate?
And you can’t manage them in your space forcing to cull them never knowing what you missed

Are you going to preflower?

You wont be able to tell sex until about 2nd week of flower. Clones it would show early.

Keep it simple to begin.

Thanks for the welcome! I want all of 50 to germinate possibly, i have 50 2.3quarts pots that fits perfectly in the tent and i will have them grow till the clones from the topping cuts that i put into preflower in the other tent will show sex, after i will select the best 18 females and flower them in 1 gal pots, then select the best 1 or 2 i like and start growing only 3 plants of the pheno i like! thanks again lmk your thoughts!

Yes sir thats the plan i have a smaller tent that I will be using to presex the clones from the tops, i will give the toppings 5 days into 18/6 to stabilize and switch into flower.

What experience do you have growing regular plants? Like tomatoes and such. Don't want to see you waste 50+ seeds.

You can't say the 18 you select are going to be the best out of all.....unless you flower and smoke all of them that you originally started with.

Iceberg ahead …..

If this is your first grow ever i would suggest to just get few fem seeds, some nice strain from good breeder and practise growing with them first. Feno hunting comes second imo.

No Ferrari. You just got a lot learning to do.

Growing is not a race. It's a marathon.

Also, you have no idea what expression your seeds will have. Pot space means nothing if you have a bunch of lanky 4 foot sativas or a whole bunch of small bushes. There's also the matter of getting to the pots and watering them, defoliation, pest management, and environmental controls.

I know how you feel, I was there once myself, but you need experience more than you need that one potential killer pheno right now.

I would take a few of those seeds to term … not an army.
Put successful grows under your belt before pheno hunting and doing more than necessary for a first time grower.
We applaud your drive but be realistic.

Start simple , get them to harvest without excess , just start some strains learn the ins and out of each .
