Hi
I'm newbie here. I just purchased tent and led and will setup the veg tent and bloom tent in my base ment
In my country We don't have any hydrophonic shop who have inline fan and filter so I had to go to amazon and found this fan https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KWYJQYA/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
Active Air 400 CFM Inline Fan, 6-Inch I see the youtube video it really makes huge noise even I grow in the basement my neighbor house is right next to my house I'm worrying about they complain about noise do i really need inlinefan? and is there any way to put noise down to the minimum? IT IS THEE MOST IMPORTANT ASPECT TO INDOOR GROWING.
and don't use and inline filter. Use a closed ended filter. Filter goes in the tent, ducted out of the tent to an INLINE FAN, ducted to wherever. Preferably outside the room the tent is in. This is filter you want. I just got mine yesterday after always using Phresh, and I love it. Works great.

This is the exact one I use:

Use with any 6" inline fan WITH a Speed Controller. Do not start growing without one.
If you're in a tent that is 3x3 or 2x4 or smaller, a 4" fan and filter will work fine. But 4x4 - 4x8 = 6"filter/fan.

That's not a bad deal on that ebay link but you can probably find cheaper if you look on amazon at their "other sellers" on some of the fans they list. As fk mmor intake, if you have central air and an ac vent in the area you're gonna set up in, I'd stick ducting in it and seal it off, and pull air from ac vent to your tents on splits after a 6" fan. But with an exhaust say in the 5x5, you'll have negative pressure and can just open a flap at the bottom of the tent and it just pulls air in. Your tents walls are suppose to suck in when you zip it up.

With 2 tents in a basement you will want to have an intake from outside, both tents venting into and drawing from what's left of the room will have them recirculating the same air and it won't have much chance to cool or dry, unless as Airwalker says you have AC in the room.
You don't need a carbon filter on your intake, however a couple of mesh screens (easiest way probably is just stretch some over the ends of the tubes inside your tents) to stop debris and insects getting drawn in would be good.
You can reduce the noise a bit by putting some rubber or fabric under the fan, if that's not quiet enough there's designs for fan boxes on here and various places, and if you're really keen on keeping the sound down you can buy sound deadening materials such as Dynamat (there's probably much cheaper, I just know that make from it's car stuff) in various forms.

Hang your fans from bungee cords. Sound is gone.

Where I come from weed costs money, its worth a few bucks to do things right. Get a name brand fan and filter, like can fan, vortex, phat etc. You wont save money with offbrand stuff and it could put you in jail. I prefer putting the filter and ballasts into a big mdf box and then you can just have hoses going into the tent.

I wouldnt hang anything extra in a tent, Its really a weak structure, and it would create a fire if it fell. Ideally youd even have your lights mounted to studs but tough to do in a tent.
