I Have a question????Pls Help About 12/12 Growing

So ive been reading thru the forum and i searched google for information about 12/12 grow from seed...
And everybody that i have read about gave their 12/12 grow a dose of either 24/0 - or 18/6 for days and sometimes for weeks before the put them in to 12/12???
I dont understand this is it still concidered a 12/12 grow????
My 12/12 grow is strictly 12/12 from seed...
Let me explain:
After germination i put them in soil and under 400w HPS 12/12 light schedule in the same room as my current grow..

So is my method concidered the correct way??? or Should I have gave them some more light for a little while longer...

It's fine, your seedlings will veg no matter how much light you give them. 24/0 is just a preference and most growers understand that 12/12 from seed refers to 12/12 from seedling, much like 12/12 from clone refers to 12/12 from established clone.
