DSCF0882.jpgDSCF0883.jpgDSCF0884.jpgI have now been TRYING to grow for over a year now and have been attacked with the same problem over and over. My leaves turn yellow and brown at the tips before completely dying and slowly dragging the whole plant down to shit. I have done research and tried to make my system into the most idealistic place for marijuana to grow. All the leaves seem to have a bit of every problem and I am kind of running in circles now The only two problems I can see is that I seem to have a problem with root rot and my tap water straight out of the tap is at a PH reading of 8.0 also with a nutrient reading of 0.2..... How would my root rot be developing and would my tap water be affecting the plants in any way?

I should add, My medium is clay balls and am growing under a 600HPS lamp. My clones are grown in rockwool cubes.

I have added some pictures of the problem leaves also.

I beg you all...... PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!

A year of the same, and you haven't tried any other medium? Kinda makes me glad I just use soil.....Not familiar with clay or rockwool so can't help with that.

I am copying a friends system that works perfectly... I am trying to figure how mine differs. Also, To date I have spent an absolute fortune and the bank is almost dry!!!!

My light is roughly 30cms from the tip of my plants. How much will Rockwool raise the PH? Does my pictures show signs of a PH that is too high?

If your using your 600w, I would start at 4 feet away from the clones and gradually lowering it. Also mist at least once a day with tapwater. I would also ph your water to 5.5 to 6. No nutes for 1st week then go to 1/4 strength and again gradually increase. To me your leafs look burned from heat. All dried out

Could it be overwatering do you think? I dont think its heat because I also have root rot.

What are your temps? But sounds like you need to start with the water. PH sounds off
35oC when lights are on and it drops down to 22oC over night. My water out of the tap reads 0.2 ppm and 8.0 PH reading. I know its abnormal but should I not be using this water at all?

Deep Water Culture. 20liter bucket with pump and airstone to oxygenate the water. Roots live in the water with the airstone. Its defo you light is too close and your ph is too high

The root rot could be from the light and heat. Make sure no light is getting to the roots
AWESOME ADVICE!!! I don't think that they do see COMPLETE darkness but I am worried that the rockwool base isn't drying out between waterings and in saying that, It would mean the roots are drenched 24/7 and the roots go nowhere because of the root rot, that having been caused by overwatering..... could I be right at all? I'm going mad trying to figure this out!!!

Whats your ideal Temps? and PH? I do adjust my PH down to around 6.0 but with my tap water being 8.0 before me treating it down to 6.0, is that making my water "damaged" for growing with?
Keep temps around 20C or 68F and depending on your hydro setup I would ph at 5.5 - 6
