Yeah, unfortunately the anonymity of the Internet can bring out the worst in some... It's easier to be negative, you don't have to think as much or consider other's feelings/views, probably why most negative posts sound selfish and uneducated.

Well do a better job at moderating. This person shouldn't be spamming this forum with moronic posts and annoying pictures constantly and trying to coax people into her skype doctor that costs 400$. If you can't see what a scammer and fake this person is then this forum has lost any shred of legitimacy and intellect it once had. Particle has done nothing but speak the truth and try to warn you guys, he even gave her advice and tried to help her. Oh - I am VERY honest about this - I need to learn more.

I voted for the first time in my whole life this past June. I think I spent most previous elections of my adult life depressed, in bed, afraid to do things, etc.

I am now a MMJ patient, and I plan on continuing to be one. So how the party is planning on dealing with the issue of MMJ and legalization is the most important to me, at the moment. I have to start somewhere.

I don't know a lot about political parties, in general really. But I have read a few choice words in the last couple of months.

I know the Conservative party does not have a kind view of medical marijuana, and are very NOT in favour for legalization.

And, I know that the Liberal party, is for legalization.

NDP said decriminalization.

Green Party are a bunch of awesome people (the ones I have met) and I wish more anything they could get in, or at least have a say in what happens in Canada.

Alas, I don't think the Green have much of a chance at beating the Conservatives.

The Liberals, in my opinion - do. So I am going to put my time and energy into them.

I just have questions for them. I want to know what they plan on doing, if they are voted in. With Marijuana, Health Care, Old Age Pension, whatever.

I probably know less about politics than most other people my age.

But I want to know more. So I'm looking into it.

Is that a political stance? I think is the first time I have ever answered that question.

Anywho - I'm a reactive person. Usually, I try to be as happy as I can. But it's easy to get sucked in to the gossip-girl shit-slinging fights.

American politics is very much a winner take all game. Parliamentary politics is much less so- at least, from what I've been told. If that's the case, then cultivating good relations with every party- save perhaps the one most diametrically opposed to your views- will give you insights and leverage that simply joining one will not.

In most parliamentary elections around the world, there is usually some sort of governing coalition that must be created from the number of seats The People elect; it is less common for a single party to win outright. In such cases, marginal parties like the Greens might play an outsized role by being the 'Kingmaker' faction- the small party that gives the larger one the needed votes to carry a majority vote to create the new government.

Obviously this is a prime opportunity for some horsetrading- and in the process the small party often gets to see an issue decided its way or at least a favorable compromise reached.

In America, number two simply gets crushed. I fear this is a serious if not fatal flaw in the Constitution.

Just to clarify:

"Joined" means I have donated about 20 bucks over the last couple months - and said I wanted to "join". It was just a click of a button. By no way in hell am I pursuing a future career in politics...




I'm gonna go to their meeting, if they pick me as a delegate. I'm interested.

Sounds good, in your shoes I'd do the same with several parties. Since I was born in Canada, I may yet get my chance.
