im pretty sure that light spectrum has alot to do with it... if your running on the redder side you will get more males and a blue spectrum will grow females.

bannanas release a hormone thats found in higher quantities in females (ethylene)

here i stole this.....
Treatment of hempseed with ethylene gas will increase the resulting number of female plants by about 50%. Ethylene is produced by certain plants (i.e., bananas, cucumbers and melons), and these can be used to treat hempseed in a simple manner. About two weeks before you plan to sprout the seeds, place them in a paper bag or envelope and put that in a plastic bag with the peels of a ripening banana or cucumber. Replace the peels after a couple of days, and change the bags to prevent mold.

Could be just bad luck. A male will not hermi and give you anything to smoke so I wouldn't bother with it. Plant more seeds...

if you have a lowes or a home depot in the area hit up the lightbulb isle. (usually the first one in both stores) cfls are pretty cheap for what they can accomplish. i think that is why you are having so many males, when you start them under flowering spectrum (redder) you get more males like i said before... once you get the right spectrum bulbs in there you should see alot of improvement. (i always veg under the 5700k and when i flower i switch all the bulbs to 2300k) but dont be afraid to have one or 2 of the other spectrum. im no veteran but im pretty sure you want a little of the other kind too just to have a full spectrum grow.

come to think of it ive never really had a male grow under my cfls...maybe it really is a huge factor to have the right spec..

Bag seeds are great.cool with mystery, and if the bud you bought was good 2 smoke even with seeds in it,you just know if you grow pure females that is gonna spinn ur god damn motherfucking head..

Your setup has absolutely nothing to do with it. A plants sex is determined when the seed is formed. Your just really unlucky, where did you get your *fem* seed from?

Then you were totally gyped.

First time I grew anything, I ordered 10 femmed from attitude, they've since grown me over 30 female plants and counting.

I've put some plants through utter hell and never saw one banana or hint of hermie, in fact they're pretty rare and the concept of making a male hermie, I don't think it'll happen for you.

i baught a feminised seed... read my post dude...

i had a m8 grew 9 males in a row until i saw his light it was way too high, after he lowered it he had a lot better success. the sex of a plant can be affected in the seedling stage
