You will have harvested dried and smoked it by now, but for anyone else thinking about harvest my advice on that stage (and I'm no expert just experience), is harvest in about 1 week from that if they have had 8wks flower time+, leave the lights off 3 days - they will continue to push out THC clouding the still clear trichomes, and hang them to dry after harvest for at least 3 days, before curing, all the time in this process the trichomes will continue to mature, harvesting (in my opinon) when they are all milky and you have a few amber is past it's best, because it will keep going a while after lights out, chop, dry, and cure. The red pistils are only an indicator the plants are about ready, I have one plant that is mature with no red pistils, and one with red pistils that isn't ready, and 2 with half red pistils which are just right, its only an indicator they are about ready, you need a 30x magnifier, though u can see with a 10x, to see the trichomes to tell properly. 30x Jewellers lupes are cheap on ebay.
