i know this is kind of ghetto but will crushed up multivitamins work as fertilizer?

They would probably work for trace minerals but I doubt they would have any NPK values to speak of.

So in short, no I don't think multivitamins alone are enough to sustain a healthy plant.
 
i say try it, on one plant. see what happens. maybe you'll end up starting something new

besides, no one ever got anywhere without a little experimenting :)

if your stuck for fertilisers and your vegging you can use your own piss at a 10-1 ratio 10parts water 1 part pee, it's organic and safe and i know lots of people will say it's a horrible thing to do but the plants love it it's free and it works like a charm, this maybe unheard of to you? but just incase it is i can assure you that it's been being done for hundreds of years and is a proven source of nutrients, i've used it myself and wouldn't hesitate to do so again. just a thought mate incase you are in the position of needing an alternative, piece of piss as they say lol
