Get a job that pays enough for you to live a decent 'honest' lifestyle.
Then on the side, quietly, grow a few plants. Sell a few to friends and family and sit back and reap the rewards for a few months, then grow a few more. It's what i do!
Greed is the biggest factor that can end it all.

well if you just started you have a long way to go in order to learn how to grow the absolute kill dank. That being said, in order to make a "career" from it, you need to be on top of your game because there is a lot of competition. Try new methods and find your unique growing style that sets you aside from the rest. READ READ READ. And dont take any advice to much to heart as there is a lot of bad/incorrect info and diagnosis out there.

Oaksterdam University. I'm not affiliated with them, never been there, don't know anyone that has, but it may be what you're looking for.

Good luck, horticulture sounds like sound advice.

Me myself, I detach myself from money and grass 100%.. If I have it everyone has it.. decades I have never sold grass in my life,, I wouldn't know who to sell it, because if I have it, anyone I know has some too because I make sure of it.

That's just me.. I haven't associated money with grass in a long long time.. maybe 25 years, and then it was because I was 'buying' it.. heh.

Man o man, I much prefer 2013.

Horticulture can certainly take a fellow a LONG way regardless of cannabis, I like it..

If youd like to re-associate some money with grass let me know. I just moved back to the east coast after living in portland OR for grad school and I would love to help lower the prices/spread some good quality green in my hometown. Im a new professional but have hundreds of thousands in school loans so I cant afford a place and grow set up yet but would love to find someone that knows what they are doing and has been doing it for awhile to help me get the desired outcome. If you can point me in the right direction let me know. I had a med card in OR and have thought about getting from several dispensaries there but thought Id look into my other options first. I can pass any screening and Im willing to travel. Im educated and careful and looking for someone legit that also knows what they are doing.

Oh great! NOW you tell me!

ibob - if you're not looking for a cannabis-specific career, go to work in a garden center/nursery during the day and pursue a horticulture degree at night, if available. There's a lot of variety in the field, everything from hard-core research to design.

I am most worried about his 'hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of school loans'..

Forget the Feds, he is going to have the REAL thugs come after him soon, 'the Bankers', and I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that..

I know a guy who harvests 7-8 ounces a month using a 8 x 8 flower room. Would that kind of income be worth your while?? BigSteve.
