Nice job on the cloner. I would also agree with these guys on the clear plastic. Dealt with that first hand. I built the same kinda thing, 20 bucks at lowes and 4 bucks for neoprene pucks. Should work great for you, just be careful when going to soil, they burn very easily. The only soil I have found that work to get root ball out of cloner is FF Light Warrior. I would never recommend Fox Farms otherwise

Hey my Maine fellas.

First off, the home made cloner looks pretty good! :) I will build one before I spend $100 or $200 on one, for sure! Second, whats the advantage to these? Do the roots grow faster?

I just do my low tech thing with rooting power and rock wool plugs and get roots good enough to transplant to soil in about 3-5 days. The last set I took I put in soil ~ 1/25 and they have needed another transplant for over 3 days now.

It always took too long in soil for me but it sounds like you do ok. For me though a cloner works a lot faster. So happens I have a few about ready to pot. This is after 2 weeks or a little less in the cloner:

I'd say thats about the same root growth as me Tet. :) I have foliage as well.

I wonder if it's maybe my method or just new luck. LOL! You know I will be building a cloner either way, I'm a DIY guy!
