I need a waterfarm grow coach.

I want to grow 1 plant in a waterfarm scrog grow.
I will be using a 600w mh/hps light.
I am looking for someone to be a coach from start to finish.

Please take pictures when you do. I'll love to watch the progress.

How soon should i start using the mh light?
Can i use just cfls to start or just use the 600w from start on a lower setting say 25% till the plant gets bigger.
Should i just use water only for the 1st week or start nutes from sprout?

Switch to mh when you're at least to the 3rd node. NO nutes till at least 6th 7th node 20/4 light schedule would be best and don't love your plant to death

So the plant will survive with just water till the 6th node in a waterfarm?
So i can use t5 or cfls for lighting till the 3rd node?

what inline system are you going to be using? just out of curiosity.

Sorry. What inline system?

You could use cal mag and maybe 1/8 th nutes after 3rd but yes they would grow with just water whatever you do introduce nutes slowey

What's your environment like do you need to control smell is this a closet your growing in what kind of waterfarm like a dwc? Pics are worth a thousand words as they say

I have a 6inch fan with a phresh carbon filter.
The waterfarm is a recirculating drip system.
I plan on a scrog grow.

What brand of fan and tent? i ask because i plan on upgrading lol.

Its a Apollo tent.
Not sure on the fan brand.
I have a 600w dimmable light.

Yes. Start with 1/4 strength and increase as the plant grows. I've ran 8 pack waterfarms before and believe me the plant has to have food available. Not feeding a plant until is has 7 nodes is ridiculous advice.

So if i was too use maxigrow. It calls for 1 tsp per gallon.
I would use a 1/4 tsp instead correct?

Yes. I use MaxiBloom and one tsp is full strength.

worst advice ever. i'd disregard anything else from Yoda.

drill your holes in the top res to 3/8"
add an airstone and airpump when the roots hit the lower res

maxibloom kicks ass. very pH stable too.

hey Mick, what do you do to prevent algae ? last 2 grows were fine, this one i have serious algae on the growstones/hydroton under the drip ring.
