ok, so i got seeds inbetween wet papertowels, in a tuperware container w/ suranwrap over top.
what im wondering is how do i know when the seeds are ready for soil?

also, the white tail that comes out of the seed; is that the root??? and do i want to plant the seed with the white tail pointing down???

and one more thing...if i plant a seed straight into soil, its the thinner top of the seed the end i want pointing up? or the wide base (bottom) pointing up?

any advice is greatly needed thanks:)

your seed will germinate after 1 to 7 days . yes the little white bit is the root and you also plant the white bit down in the soil. your seed will then sprout and the seed shell will pop of after a few days... go to the newbie section your will get loads of information there on how to germinate and get you going on the right foot :peace:

seed has successfully germinated when the white tip pokes out..thats when u wanna bury it..although some ppl bury it as soon as seed cracks open..
yes that white tip goes down
wide base part pointing up..the pointed edge or "thinner" edge goes down
