I need help setting up 2 tents for a perpetual harvest

im planning on a grow with 2 tents, 1 for a veg tent with a 400 watts mh light,that tent will be a 3x3 tent,the 2nd tent will be 4x4 with a 600 watts hps for flowering,do anybody out there know how to set up ventilation for each tent?i know i need inline fans for both but where and how do i hang them up with ducting connecting to the lights?i want a carbon filter for the smell in the flowering tent too.

Put the fans outside the tent...on top. They generate heat so you don't want them in the tent. Hang any carbon filters all the way up inside.......go filter>hood>exhaust.

Heat rises. Your outtake should be high, intake low imo.

Good advice above on keeping as many heat sources outside the tent as possible .

Here are a few tent venting tips.

Always pull the air.

Keep ducting straight as possible.

Use light proof ducting , and coil intakes to block light leaks.

Use 2x the volume of intakes as you have exhaust.
Example: If you have a 6 inch exhaust duct, have two 6 inch intakes.

Here's a good example of how to link your system with one 8 inch exhaust.

Carbon filter > 600w hood>8 inch duct to >400 hood>8 inch exhaust fan> 8 inch duct out>

This would vent the flower tent. But you would need separate fresh air exchange for the 400 tent.

im getting a 600 watt hps batwing reflector for the flowering tent,so im planning on putting the fan and carbon filter outside the tent.
600 watts hps batwing reflector(hanging by it self)>6 inch ducting(at the top of tent)>6 inch 400 cfm fan(outside of tent)>carbon filter(aslo outside of tent)

Why would you put the filter outside the tent?.........You want to pull the air through the filter, not push it out through the filter. You should go.....filter inside....ducting to fan outside......You will probably need a cool tube or a air cooled hood for a 600 inside a 4x4. That is why I said earlier FILTER>HOOD>EXHAUST

do i need a fan for intake holes? how many tents i need for each tent?

You can fit (9) 5 gallons in a 4x4 if you have too.

i meant how many fans i need for each tents?

Passive intake is usually fine. You should have some fans inside the tent for circulation. 6" clip on fans are pretty cheap on ebay or amazon.

okay i think im done with the questions here,so for my setup im going with (2)3x3x6.5 grow tents since i can fit (5) 5 gallon pots in a 3x3x6.5 grow tent instead of a 4x4 for the flowering tent but im gone have one with a 400 watts mh light for the veg tent and a 600 watts hps light for flowering,both lights reflector are air cooled hoods.(2)6 inch 440 cfm fan for the exhaust system in both tents and a 6 inch carbon filter for the flowering tent.plus (2) 6 inch clip on fans one for each tent to move air around in the inside of the tents.i think i have everything under control far as ventilation goes,but i aslo have a ph meter and (2)speed controllers and a humidity meter/thermometer and (3) 6 inch ducting.

i would say go with a 4" fan for your veg tent. i ran a 400cfm is over-kill, gonna have your tent looking like it ready to implode, not sure what fan ur gonna run but turning down low enuff to not crush the tent will cause real wear and Noise on uir fan.

Yeah you probably won't need a 6" fan exhaust. Also, you may still want to get the bigger 4x4 for flowering, although the pots will fit the same, your plants will increase in size and will quickly fill a 3x3 and you'll wish that you got the 4x4 for flower

here is something i threw together for u fast. i ran a simular set up but mine was 3x3 and 4x4.
add a 6 inch duct booster for the veg tent on right

i appreciate all the tips and stuff but do anybody know where i can get some real og kush and strawberry cough seeds from? or sour diesel and purple kush seed from?
