i need to wire an intermatic 220v timer.

i want to pull a quad outlet from behind it.

I just want to know if this is correct.

2 legs in. but then coming out im not sure how!!!!

is it one leg out into outlet? would this leg be 220 since i have 2 legs in right? then just bridge over to next outlet?

is this it?

well first of all is the outlet 208 volt? if so then there will be two hot wires.. hot wires as in two lines with voltage.

standard outlets that i had from building the room. a contractors pack of cheapos from HD. they have 2 posts silver, 2 gold and the outlets are connected via bridge. is that what you mean. do i need different outlets for this?

i'm pulling power straight from 100 amp breaker box. 20amp breakers. i connect the black to one breaker and skip a breaker and connect neutral and this is 220 correct? then run that to timer. then from timer i run to outlet and then bridge over to next outlet like wiring a normal wall outlet in a loop????

is this correct?

anyone????

you need to run 208 volt from your Panel, you cant take 120volt from your wall and double it to get the 208.. its not safe at all, be very careful if you dont know what your doing..

from the breaker you need two legs of power.. what type wire are you using? you should use some 12-2 so you will have two hot legs and one ground.. no neutral wire

i have 12-2 yellow romex. i can also get some 12-3 to make it easier.

i just cant figure out how im supposed to get the 22o to the receptacles and then to the next and then to another quad etc.

if i pull two hot wires to receptacle how do i connect them and bridge them?

thx

you need to run wire nuts and jumpers to take it from each receptcial, if you have a voltage meter handy so you can make sure you dont create any direct shorts while jumping each wire..
