Add a carbon scrubber and have a other out take,Get a ossalateing fan and have it blowing towards the tubeing have this going into the loft space loft spaces normaly have a opening outside somewhere the smell will rise. But if the door is not air tight you will always have this problem, air will escape from the door but the carbon scrubber take alot if not70%of the smell out of the grow room. Not sure weather they sell a product called glade ouder controler's they come on every 5/10/15 mins and they smell realy strong. Also your local hydr shop will have some ouder control.

i had a carbon scrubber and the fans and still had a problem with odor when people came over. i bought moth balls and put them in mason jars because they stink! opened them for a few hours before i had people come over then closed them again before my house stunk for days. now mind you the moth balls create a unpleasant odor in your house for awhile but no one can smell bud. the moth ball smell doesnt stay long maybe a day or so but you have to remember to close the jars or it will stink too much. it works better than any airfreshener and is cheaper.

......wow. Where I live if you have negative pressure in your room it's kind of hard for the smell to get out.......you exhaust through the filter.

Something like this works good if you change out the carbon every 6-12 months(strain dependant).

The air is sucked through the filter and pushed out the exhaust.......that air doesn't smell at all and if you run your intake so it keeps a bit of negative pressure in the room no smell goes in/out of the room when you do.......the air from the exhaust on my ac is hot and does smell a tiny bit, but seeings as I dont have to worry about it, I dont: if I had to I would go bigger on my fan there and y the exhaust into the filter itself.......
And I agree with snyder that the diy's are good, as good as what you can buy almost, but they are a pain in the ass to make and you still dont want to skimp on the materials you buy----the carbon is very important.

That set-up works the same if you keep the filter outside the room if you turn the fan around and push the air out of the filter; just make sure it's sucking through rigid ducting. <----this idea is supposed to work and it makes sense that it would, but I cant actually claim I've done it.

Something else to keep in mind is noise.......the exhaust on these things can get loud if noise is of concern, and if smell is an issue then noise may be as well.......the bigger ducting you use the quieter the noise from the air movement out of the exhaust, and there are mufflers(diy here too), and insulated ducting, etc. If you can exit everything to the attic half of the problem is solved right there.

And these ozone generators.......I cant really say anything good/bad about them from my own exp. I just know they've been around awhile and I haven't heard very much about them......so your lucky and no IMO from me:roll:

Hey, hopefully, if you do a DIY you will record your findings, pics would be cool too!

Have a great week!!

If you really have 30 plants then you need to get a good carbon filter and exhaust fan. Let's assume half of those are fem. 15 plants will smell really really strong when they are in flower. You might as well bite the bullet if you are serious about growing and not getting caught.

Did you check out the link to the can filters I have on my post on the first page?

Even if you don't have a hydro store around, you can order what you need online.
