I need some advise with my Super Lemon Haze

I have a SLH that was a freebie from Attitude seeds ( thank you ) with my prior order. She has grown up in my veg room and now I have taken several clones of her. This will be my first very Sativa grow and I need to know when to flower the clones. I have heard that with a haze you might want to flower as soon as they root. I do not have a small flower room and head room is not a factor 10 foot ceilings. And I am using a 1000w but I still dont want a super tall plant. I can and have used scrog but if I dont flower at the rite time it is all for not as a overgrown screen is just a mess. I flood a 4x4 table.

any info would be helpfull. Also what is her odor level I live in a neighborhood and would like and try hard to stay away from stinky / skunky strains.
I have a carbon filter but still i just dont want the risk.

thanks

I grew this strain twice. I got the seeds in a free promotion as well but thru single seed center. Anyways I Sprouted them and got both of them up one sprouted normally and the other sprouted slowly. The one that sprouted slowly grew into a two main stem plant. I got em to about 2 feet tall and then gave the normal looking plant to a fellow patient. I then started topping the plant I had left and started taking clones. I then ran a 6 bushy plant flower and super lemon haze was one of them. The others were purple haze, purple goo, green crack, Crimea blue, and lemon skunk. Everything except the SLH and lemon skunk stayed bushy. The SLH about trippled in height and i got a crappy yield off her. But her clones were flowered in my second grow and stayed relatively short and yielded alot better than the big one. I also used snow storm and gravity with the second grow. Maybe that was the reason. The first grow I just used fox farm trio bud candy and a small amount of purple max. As for the smell the first grow she didn't really start smelling until about week 5. The second grow I had so many strains I couldn't tell. Anyways I just went in a rant. Sorry both those grows are on my YouTube channel aavilajr2005. Not exciting videos at all but yea. Hope I helped

My SLHs had low yields...i suggest vegging them out a bit before flowering. There seem to be two phenos; the yellow sativa dominant pheno that smells sickeningly sweet and is caked in resin glands, and the green indica dominant pheno that smells like lemon candy, stays short and finishes earlier. I liked the sativa pheno to smoke, but the indica pheno smelled better. Watch out for bananas late in flowering.

You gotta veg this strain for a while, even a bit more than 2 months. The thing is that if you don't veg enough it gets long and lanky (which is a sativa quality), but then it doesn't fill out. Pay attention to coloring, leaf quality...SLH is a sensitive sativa and will react quickly to overheating or lack of water.
Even though flowering is supposedly 10 weeks I have let it run for up to a week and a half longer in order because this plant needs time. I've always paid attention to make sure it is perky and happy.
This is not a strain to grow quickly or rush.
If you rush this plant you will most likely be on this forum complaining that "SLH is garbage" after you cropout.

SLH is some of the best smoke I've ever grown. I'm probably a bit bias since I prefer Sativa. The yields are lower compared with my Indica's or blends, but that's expected. I initially always grew my SLH with no training. If you do that expect plenty of stretching. Now I do a lot of LST from it's very early veg stages. It does limit the stretching and I can get pretty bushy plants but not quite like the indica's and my other blends. If you're not doing so already I recommend taking clones from your girls about 3 weeks into flowering. It will take 10-17 days to get them to veg out again once they've rooted but the nodes will be tighter. I've been doing this for a few generations now and the change is noticable.
