there is like a 10 to 1 ratio of people germing then sprouting there seeds with soil. i have chosen to use rockwool and transplanting them to cubes. it has been over a week since i placed my cracked ww and chiesel seeds in the rockwool. i could see the top of the seed so i pulled apart the rockwool to see if there was some root growth and the chiesel has a taproot the size of my fingernail and the ww just popped his root out. i transplanted both of these to new rockwool cubes and sprayed a little of my nutes as my feeding schedule tells me too.

i have no idea when is too long to wait for these ladies to sprout. its been about 9 days now and nothing. is it safe to assume that if they have roots that they are still in process, or is that not the case whatsoever? i understand the concept of root rot but only understand that being an issue later on down the line. not sure if this is too long or what. i have a journal entitled chiesel and ww first grow. if anyone can contribute some advice to this worrisome stage, i would be able to sleep better. thanks!

take em out of them bags you got em in and put em about half a foot away from the light and leave it on till they sprout.i just planted 7 white russian and 8 blueberry 3 days ago.and already i have 6 wr and 8 bb.all i do is plant them str8 in the medium in the pot u want them in,put them about 1 centimetre down, water so that all the medium is wet from top to bottom, carefully around the seed so it doesn't lift.put your light half a foot away and leave it on for 18-20hr cycles.sit the pots in trays of water about half inch deep to stop it drying out,as long as its nice and warm in there you can't go wrong. bongsmilie

so i took them out of the bag and they are about a cm deep now. i am using my 600w hps now for 18-6 because the previous flo was from a questionable source and i couldn't figure if that was holding me back.

i am planning to next throw them in bigger cubes before i get into using pots. so i don't know how to take your advice about the pots being submerged in a half inch of water. i am just keeping them damp about 3 times a day with a squirt bottle.

also you were talking about the seed lifting, and what, falling to the side so it isn't sticking straight up, right? cause i think that is good.

it may have been the plastic bag, or the seeds weren't deep enough, or they got a little dry. but there are roots, so that's good right?

thanks bongholio for addressing me!
