yeah here .. buy a rubber maid container and use that instead of a cardboard box .. and u have the lid on from the rain and u can easier cut vent holes in the side

Do Gilfman's idea but with a covered fan so you can leave the lid on all the time and not worry about mold and extended drying times, just a suggestion.

Use the rubbermaid tote and hook up a dehumidifier to it by way of cutting holes in the sides, it should take about 3 to 5 days to dry depending on the weather conditions.

wait when drying in a cardboard box with strings outside. do you have to have vent holes or completely sealed?

but sealed so no light gets in! to be able to vent with no light getting in use a dryer vent hose that goes up then down, so air can travel through it but light cant get in!

so if i cover the vent holes with black cloth and it won't let light it, will that work? how long will i have to leave it outside?

so the whole purpose is to have the buds in a dark ventilated area thats it then i can smoke it:-??

dry it in a well vented dark area (like a box) for 5-10 days. then place all your buds in a glass jar for 1 -2 weeks letting fresh air in the jar once a day.(curing) then your buds will be ready to smoke!

Everyone seems to do it a little different, you'll want to keep em in the box for a couple weeks, til the stems crack when you bend them, then put the buds in jars in a dark place for a few weeks til a few months to cure.Make sure you open the jars daily and move the buds around, anyhow in sure there is some good info in the FAQ section.good luck

yea it doesnt have to be light sealed tho just make a box and hang the buds on the strings going from side to side and cut holes on each side so the air can go thru and dry out the buds which are hanging up side down. now the only thing bad about doing it ouside is if you let the box sit in wet rainy conditions the mist will sit into teh bud and will be harder todry out and if not using a dehumidifyer the mist will turn the flower to rot
