I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

I did what I said I would do. I designed a light that pushes a minimum of 2.85 umol/W. What the means is that there will be a light on the market that is 600W that really is a 1:1 replacement for a DE HPS. All the details are on IndieGoGo. Please let me know what you all think. If I can get the price down even more than my current quotes I will pass that along to everyone. There are also other options available for all price points.

If you don't want to buy one that's cool, but keep in mind there will be a give away to anyone that donates!

Please share this around! It will take a team to get this done!

Prototype has been ordered.

Screenshot_20190401-134915_Samsung Internet.jpg I don't see how you think your light is going to be better than anyone else's using the same technology that HLG has been using for a while now, to claim you are going to out perform them when using the exact same leds is hilarious.

Is this a joke or a scam?

I should really do something like this. I could buy alot of beer with $300,000.
Keep in mind thats not profit, thats gross.

The design has been accepted and is waiting on parts to come in to be produced. The tech is better than HLG which is why it will sell.

Im undercutting a large company by having no overhead. So I can create things at a cost that they can not. If the goal is met yes Ill make profit. Im only charging the cost I do for assembly of the DIY lights I already make.

Nope, Its about how many you put on a board within reason. The main reason its better is because I increased the efficiency to a use-able and fair level. All about how you design things. No matter what this wont be my last creation. :hump:

Your pricing looks far from undercutting anything. You do realise there is alot of companies with near exact same designs as you don't you? I was hoping to see something special. I have been designing lights for a very long time, you are good at putting together a presentation. Can you do the same for me? I will use real figures though after testing and be at 3.2umol/j. I would really like some beer money and $300,000 of beer money would be awesome. I will give you $50,000 once you give me $300,000 that's a pretty fair deal don't you think?

If you have designed a 3.2umol/j light that is under $1000 and full spectrum (meaning white not blurple) then I would love to see it. Definitely would sell better than my 2.85umol/j light. That means you have a 531W light that is 1700umol output. That's the best I've ever heard of!

I could make this same light a higher efficiency, but there is point of diminishing returns, which has always been the price point for me.

It took a long time to make the page and a longer time to do the math behind the design to get it to work. Just take your time to get it done. As the age old saying goes. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

Get me my $250k and I will be satisfied and give the design away, I will be too drunk to worry about it anyway. I can always work on the next one that will exceed 3.2m/joule anyway.

The difference with me and all the other guys involved in this horticulture lighting game is I've already thought of it tried it or done it. Having my test equipment has put me at a completely different level to everyone else. The only company that I see as a competitor to me is Fluence and that's because they are much smarter than the rest of them and have the name everyone else wants.

So this'll never be available for public purchase really then? Just whoever funds on iGoGo?
Depending, if someone buys the design that has the funds stated they could make it but it would require a bigger markup to the retail price to make a company want to sell it. From what I've seen most companies charge a 100-300% overhead based on component and production.

Im going to buy enough to fill my room anyways because it drops my energy bill for 6 600W to be the same as 3 1000W lights at the wall with better output.
