I never thought I'd ever have to post a pot plant problem on here...

.....but here I am.

I've been growing for over 3 years and I think I've done pretty well tackling any plant issues along the way, but this one has me absolutely stumped.

I have plants that absolutely refuse to flower.

Specifically Ghost Train Haze. I've been growing GTH for almost a year without issue....all from a single clone.....I'm guessing I've had 5-6 runs of this strain without issue.

Then last May I put a nice GTH into 12/12.....twelve weeks later....yeah...twelve weeks....it still hadn't started flowering. The other six plants in the room flowered as usual. I had dropped my lights-on to 9 hours hoping that would trigger the plant and all that did was hurt the yield of the other plants and did nothing to this one. I chopped it down last month....it was over 6' tall.

Well.....I pulled a bunch of clones from that plant and from another one and now I have two that have been in 12/12 since Aug 19th.....and they too have not shown any signs of budding after 4 weeks.

To save time I can tell you what are NOT the problems:

It's not light leaks. I can stand in the room during lights-off and it's not just dark....it's BLACK in there.

It's not the timer. The lights-off schedule is during the day and I'm down there at least 7 times a day and can safely say the lights do not come on. That and there's no sign of re-vegging going on with any of the plants in the room.

Here's some pictures:

The timer:

This plant has been in 12/12 for over a month:

This is the other GTH that's been in 12/12 since the 19th:

This is a Northern Lights that took almost 4 weeks before showing buds and is in the same room as the two GTH's:

Here's the growing environment:

Temps are on the high side....low 90's. Not ideal but none of the plants seem stressed.

Grown in Happy Frog.

Fed Jacks Classic 20-20-20 or 10-30-20 (I alternate 'em)

4'x6' room with two 600 watt HPS above them.

I've been trying to come up with a solution for two months now and have come up empty. The slow budding of the Northern Lights (it's my first run of this strain) tells me something is amiss but I don't know what it is. I have two flower rooms and the other is doing fine.

I'm going to get new bulbs today even though the one's in there (Ushio's) are about six months old....and are actually younger than the same bulbs in my other flower room. I'm going to replace the timer out of frustration more than feeling there's a need to do so.

Your thoughts?

What really sucks is that I have 10 clones in veg.....If it's a freaky thing with this strain I'm really screwed as I'll have very little to put into 12/12 in about 3 weeks. Big hit on the wallet in the near future.

The only thing I see is the temp being a problem. 90 is too hot. The plants may not look stressed but temps over 85 degrees starts stunting growth.

Are those spider mite tracks in the third photo?

Yeah....heat during the summer has always been my nemesis but there has been a shit-ton of plants, including other GTH's that have grown out without issue during these months. Thankfully I'm about a month away from cooler temps down there.

I'm in the first stages of a DIY LED project to lower my room temps in the future.

And yes.....my other battle is with spider mites. The odd thing is.....the GTH's seem immune to the mites as there's never any that make GTH a home....My Blue Dreams on the other hand are fuckin' mite-magnets.

I've been using Azamax with a degree of success.

My condolences, I dealt with those bastards a few years back and it was a nightmare, tried so many things and wasted so much money. The high temperatures makes them just explode in numbers and at that point, the battle is practically unwinnable.

I eventually went flamethrower method and did Forbid dunks for a week or two, that did the trick.

Lowering the temps is key here, is there no way besides waiting for cooler weather to get the temps more in check?

I have a (mostly ineffective) portable A/C unit attempting to cool both room, have the rooms on alternating schedules and have over 450 CFM air-exchange in a 4'x6' room. I just have to wait it out temp-wise.

That strain is for outdoor growing only in tropical regions. Its too tall and stretchy for indoor and seems to flower when its ready not when your ready. Dont change anything just the strain.
