I am a newbie of course....let my young plants (2 weeks in) stretch and reach for light now some of the fragile stems have started falling over...anyway to save them at all???????????? Thanks for any help....

Also started seeds with cfls and one night swtched over to my 1000 watter hps and nearly killed them all...but the ones that are making it have long ass stems and falling the hell over...what now? and when do I switch to my big boy 1000 watter???

prob had your 1000 to close , check with your hand that its not to hot.get a fan blowing, plants need moving air to make them produce silicon to make it stronger and the stem will thicken.

ur probably OK. what u'l need to do is repot all ur plants burying them all up to the first node. they mite need a little time to recover. Give them gentle light and NO repeat, NO nutrients.

also HPS is known to stretch plants. once they back into a normal growth shcedule it mite be ok to bring back the 1000w but keep it a good distance from the plants

Splint them and put a fan on them for a week or so...then keep the fan on them for another 2 weeks and feed - my stems thickened up 3-fold when I did this!
