next time he moves his bucket? there is no way that the bucket will be more brittle by the time he moves his bucket next. if it is really thin like clear greenhouse film than it can lose its strength and purpose after one year. with a 5 gallon bucket it would take a good amount of years for it to really degenerate and lose its strength.

lol yea you got it fella. I have a farm, I have a greenhouse, I have left 5 gal. buckets in the sun for a season. we replace our greenhouse film outter layer every 3 years and inner layer every 5, it has uv protectants in it, buckets don't. look at the bucket see the top how it is all cracked up thats from the sun, then he probably tried to move it and it broke right up because the sun made it brittle. it does not take long you are miss informed but stick around you might lern something. try it some time leave a bucket in the sun one summer then load it with rocks and try to pickit up. I have lost many buckets to the sun
