I think i got the wrong lights

I was at the store and i guess i didnt look hard enough would these still work?

Hi how are you today? I think you need to exchange them if you can, those won't do shit really but burn the plants a little. CFL's work great, CFL spot lights work good too, even a small florescent fixture with a grow bulb in it work too. I could be wrong though, I just have never seen them used other than chandeliers.

Those won't do man. If money is an issue I vote t5's

I would take those back to the store. What is your budget for lighting? If it's super low maybe grab a 4 pack of CFLs. You can get 4 CFLs at 23 watt each for like $15. If you need advice about growing with CFL I've had great success in the past using about 150 watts on a single plant. Feel free to ask my any questions.

What is your setup going to be? How many plants, what soil, how large of pots, space etc.

Those will only work on Christmas strains. Go with CFL if your budget is an issue. Good luck and take care.

So i would post my setup because im kinda scared its a fire hazard im just trying to right now but i heard of geo tagging and the police catching people because of this

If you're worried about geo tags just make sure to disable location services on whatever device you're using. There are secured email providers outside the country you can set up a dedicated email account for sites like this. Good luck.

Would a 23watt cfl start a fire?

Dude I use some led 5000 and 3000k, 10$ each at wallyworld or 3/5$ each on Internet. I cut the defused off with a hacksaw . I've got these over a mother , and I could not believe how great they work.

I have some of those too and they do ok, you have to put them 2" from the canopy, but when I switched to the LEDs 3days and the stalks doubled in size and roots did too, could be a coienedence

Yes CFL's do need to be close, and my led switch did the same.

Yep A-19 Led bulbs Like bareback said and cut off the diffusers. Theres a cluster of leds under the globe/diffusers in the A-19 bulbs.
