I think i have a problem after topping my first plant. HELP!

Ok so my plant is about a foot and a half tall and i decided i wanted to top it so i pinched off the top leaf and the next day i looked at it and the top of the stem (where i took off the rest of the plant) its black.. Like the very tip of the plant is black i will try to get a picture but idk.. so right where i topped it is where its black i thought two other stems were suppose to sprout but its been almost three days and it is still black...I am new to growing so help lol

Same thing just happened to me. I topped, and the wound turned black. I don't think it's a big deal, just a natural reaction - I hope. I sterilized some sharp scissors and topped, so I don't think it is an infection.

If it spreads like rot, just spray with some neem oil.

o well i just went up there and pinched it off with my fingernails but i was just worried it was infected but now that u tell me that thanks dude and how long does it usually take for the plant to recvoer and sprout the two new stems

yup happens some times when you top thick stems.
