I Think I'm Allergic to My Plants!

So, I noticed during my first grow that right around the time my plants started to flower I thought I had a cold. But it didn't go away, so I know it was an allergy. Now, one of my Autos is in flower and here I am stuffy and sneezing again! Guess I better stock up on allergy meds!

Are you sure it is not something else maybe fertilizer or some type of spray. If buds gave you allergies wouldn't smoking them kill yah, maybe even literally.

really,,I was having a think about that,,,sure the problem would only be from plants that are producing pollen if its hayfever,,so MSBOTWIN do you have any male plants? It could be something else.

I did have a male plant, but I yanked him right away. Sucks, because it was one of my Autos that was supposed to be fem. Now I only have 2 Autos to last me while my photo girls are flowering!
I never really had allergies much before, so I'm not sure. It could just be hay fever, maybe the pollen count has been high the last few days. Or maybe it is one of my nutes. Probably can't be the actual plants, because yeah, I've been smoking weed for 20 years, so I guess I would know I was allergic, haha.

Oh wow...have you ever noticed allergies to any other plants? It is Spring and with everything starting to bud it may get worse. The combination of outside plants and your inside grow may really have you stuffy and sneezing. Hang in there...

Yeah, my stepdad said he didn't start getting allergies til mid thirties, so. Also, my Hubby brought me a bunch of flowers earlier this week and it may be those I'm reacting to. Usually, he just buys roses, but these are mixed flowers some daisies, and wild flowers. Who knows! I'll gladly sneeze my way through Spring just as long as the cold weather is done!

Your man got you flowers, what was the occasion? That is so romantic and special, I love getting flowers of any kind, but especially roses. You lucky woman! I hear ya about the cold weather, the only thing about the warmer temps is that I plan to grow thru the Spring and Summer. I don't know how well that is going to work out, having to contend with possible bugs and the over heating from the lamps inside. Sure hope that your bouquet is not responsible for you allergic reaction.

He got them because I'd been sick. I think my son picked them out. I should be buying HIM flowers for doing everything while I was sick! He even kept my plants alive, topping my reseviors and humidifier every day.
I plan to grow through the Summer, too. And yeah, the heat concerns me!

What's it mean when any skin that comes in contact with my plants becomes mildly red and itchy?
Do you spray your plants? If so, maybe you got nute burn, haha. Seriously, it could be a reaction to the nutes if you spray them.

Lol yea I have nute burn! I should flush myself I suppose. No I don't spray at all. I suppose it could just be from feeding it nutes in general or maybe I am mildly allergic to resin.

yeah,,I have ezcema,,bad spelling sorry,,and when I used to use veg nutes they were in crystal form and even after washing my hand I got bad 'nute burn',red itchy, blister sized lumps,,nasty.....look like lepracy,,,,so wash your skin again and again,,and dont use soap(unless it sensitve skin stuff,,like dove or simple soap,,) as that will make the rash worse.
Now I dnt use a veg fert and no crystal ferts so problem avoided.

Take it easy
