I think my plant is getting to much water.

Hey all, just started growing in soil for the first time a couple weeks ago. I have 6 plants going, with 1 ahead of the others. I woke up this morning to find the once very perky plant, is now wilting over on the second set of leaves, and crispy on the first set.. im very worried that i might lose it. Picture below.

EDIT#1: The "crispness" of the first set of leaves might be chlorine related, for I havn't been using distilled water.

No, it's not the chlorine, and distilled water is NOT what you want. Spring water is good if you insist on bottled water. I just use tap myself.

You are overwatering. Overwatering isn't the amount, but the frequency. I'll bet you are watering every day or 2. That's too often.

Totally saturate the medium till you get runoff and then allow to dry, about 4-5 days, if not longer.

Thanks for the reply. Also, you are correct, I was watering every day ...

Another question however, With the over watering issue.. is it still alright to spray an mist my plants, or should just avoid watering them altogether.

you don't need to water them all the time... just let them starve at times to build them stronger

For right now, I would avoid water altogether and no misting.

Give them a chance to recover from all that loving you've been dumping on them. LOL
