I wanna talk about my plant “Freddy”

Freddy is a weird plant. He is a Clone from a strain called Jiggler, and his mother grew the same from seed.

Very strange branching structure, branches tend to stick close and go straight up from the base like a V instead of outwards at an angle like most.

The leaf’s always look like they have a weird deficiency going on, later in life his mother‘s leaf’s turned nice and dark. Bumpy leaf’s with abnormal blades, they seem to touch. The leaf’s are not as fingered and spread out, almost like duck foot.

Someone Told me the mother was an ogbk leaning pheno whatever that means. I decided to keep it, even though the mother had smaller yields but more frost than its sisters.

What do you guys think? Could it be a disease? I almost forgot to mention it was the HARDIEST plant. I thought the mother was going to die any time last grow, but it never even showed one deficiency or any tip burn the whole grow. I could not believe it. Everything else had some type of rough time.

Cookies crosses tend to have phenotypes like this. People used to be super hyped on this look when OGKB was trendy...but they are typically super slow in veg. I believe Nspecta said he finds these leaf expressions in purple urkle s1's alot.

When I do a larger grow I usually end up with one like that every time. I call them my lettuce plant cause that’s what the wrinkling reminds me of. but they still produce good buds was just less in the amount

This would explain why the ECSD/Forum X Zelatti cross I grew last winter had duck feet leaves. It was probably the most potent plant I've ever grown.

Freddie! My man.

I grew that. It was terrible weed. I'll never grow it again. I don't care what the leaves look like. I'm going for flower and the Frisian Duck failed in that aspect. It was an odd looking plant but odd does not equal quality.

Yeah agree on subpar grow with that plant myself .
Mine ran with dark web leaf and weak sauce high.

Same with that Freakshow strain … ugly stringy shit.

Maybe I got something good then here. It was just as good if not better than the 4 other ones. Just smaller yield due to really weird structuring.

It was a big disappointment. Grew OK and yielded fine but the end product just didn't cut it. I'm glad I grew it just to watch it grow but that's out of my system now. I have a couple crosses I made with it that I haven't touched and have a pack of Duckfoot autos I'll probably gift to someone as I don't have time to bother with growing something just because it has funky leaves.

I might play with some seeds to see if I get any leaf carryover and a better quality of flower. But that's not on my radar anytime soon.
