I want to groww some weed. help me out.

okay, so i pretty much no how to actually grow a plant. you take a couple of seeds, put in some soil thats ina planter correct? then when it gets big u put it in a pot or move it outside. but wuts with all the female/male plant shit. i dont get that at all wut diffrence does it make? and also what part of the Marijuana plant gets you high. im assuming its the buds, but would the leaves also get you high? and one last question, can usmoke it non dried out.
p.s. im planting to smoke it, not sell it.

Hey robizchill welcome to RIU! There is a wealth of information on growing cannabis on this site. I would highly recommend sifting through each grow section and touch up on the basics. For example soil or hydro? There's a lot of ways to grow weed, but there's a lot of ways to fail growing weed too. The male plant does not make buds that you smoke as marijuana. The female plant on the other hand does make the bud that you are most likely after. You can find all the info on growing in the forums here. So happy learning and growing! male plants dont produce any bud so u want them to be females and yes you smoke the bud. the only time u can smoke the leaves is if they have thc crystals on them. you should probbly dry them out

when you grow, unless you need to pollinate for more seeds, than kill the males cuz if they fertilize ur females ur THC content will be lower...and you can probably try n smoke somethin not dried but its not gunna burn for shit lol so itd b a waste...its a time consumin process, u really gotta be patient when growin...

MJ isnt hard to grow, its called weed for a reason and grows as such, just as long as u give it the bare essentials in the proper quantity you shouldnt have any problems...but yeah, read up as much as you can about it cuz theres alot more factors than u might be aware of...good luck buddy!

Welcome bro! Get ready to do some reading!! I'm on grow number two and as another poster noted, patience is key.
Check out all the forums and especially the sticky's. WEALTH of info in there.
Last year, this place literally got me through my first grow. A good lot there is here.

So, quit reading your own thread and go hit the FAQ's broski!!! ;-)

welcome to the site, and i agree with most on here, get ready to read, and read a lot, pretty much all the info you need about plants can be found here, and if you have questions post them and normally you will get great, helpful advice back. As for growing, it is something you have to get the hang of, it is not hard just get a few plants and begin to grow them, looking at every sign the plant shows you, then read on here to find out what its trying to tell you. thats what i did and so far my plants are 2 mos into flowering, looking very nice. thanks again to everyone on here who gave me advice when i needed it....
