I'll admit it, I'm a grower on a budget and growing can be expensive.
After searching hydro shops for runoff trays, all I could find were those expensive PVC trays. I wasn't looking for anything fancy or big. Actually, I only have one plant right now. Still, I couldn't find a rubbermaid container small enough or a tupperware container big enough to suit my needs.
Until one day it hit me. A litter box!
I went to Petsmart and picked up this 18" square container for SEVEN dollars. What a great steal. My 5 gallon pot fits inside perfectly. Who knew a litter box would make a perfect run-off tray?
