Anyone tried the hydro innovations ice box ? If so how were your results ? How cold does water have to be ?
think car radiator

the box in front of the light on the ducting out will get hit with the upper air from the area
the air up there is going to be warm 78-84 f

now if u have it lower to the ground u could be looking in 70s 68 depending where it is and all that

depends on what u are using the thing for ........to act as a air chiller ( for intake or to have somewhere in the ducting path to keep the temp senor in the fan from tripping ) or are u using it to keep the water cool in a hydro system

just know a faster pump and faster air movement does make it go down ........think hot can of soda in the car duct tape to the front of the car where the air hit drive 20 miles or so 50 70 mph the soda will cool down to drinkable temps .......does not matter the air temp it is the sheer fact passing all that air over it it took all the heat out of the can from wind chill factor

Huh??? This answer is confusing to the question asked.

I have used the ice box with a DIY homemade chiller and had great results cooling the grow room. The expense is getting a chiller that can handle a constant heat load. The best set up is to put the fan connected to the ice box at the end of the light tube and pull the air through the light, if more than one light daisy chain the lights with the ice box at end of each light. I actually could get my room to cold and had to adjust water temperature. You will want to build the manifolds from the plans found on hydro innovation support page to control water flow. My homemade chiller was my problem I'm in process building a better one with help from an expert AC guy. But it is well worth the efforts if you live where it is warm, and it saves money on energy bill.
