it will work perfect man just use a small tank, insulate it. 4 gallons or so and top it off every day. Make sure you get the thermostat attachment tho!

CoolWorks Ice Probe with Power Supply (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Chillers > Micro )

Has anyone used anything like this? Iam looking for ways to keep the res temp at 65f. The Chillers cost alot and work like a fridge. This device for 150 with the temerature controller says it can lower 10g's of water ~7f Degrees from room temp with controls of 65f - 85f.

CoolWorks Proportional Temperature Controller (Iceprobe) (Saltwater Aquarium Supplies > Chillers > Micro )

High Ican.. I use one without the controller in 17 gals and it drops close to 10 degrees from ambient 77F.. Res is insulated! <<Top too.
400w in 2x4x6 box.. aircooled hood.. It has completed 4 grows keeping the res 64-68F(with a pump or 2 going in there).

I was going to go to something more sophisticated but I think I'll just buy another IP to set up another res.. $100 vs $300.. no brainer.

I distribute these chillers and controllers. I sell the chillers for $140, and the controllers for $70. Brings down temps 6-12 degrees in 10 gal. tank. In 20 gal tanks, 3-8 degrees, and up to 40 gal. tanks 1-4 degrees.
I sell chillers for $140 and temp controllers for $70.
