ice water hash

I want to try making hash but don't know how much I would yield.
I mite give it a shot using 5 grams of bud I will put 2 or 3 cups of water in the freezer making shore not to freeze them and have have a tray of ice in the freezer I will also break up the weed into small buds and put it in the freezer on a plate.
I will put the cold water in a glass jar with about 13 to 14 ice cubes and the frozen bud then I will shake for 15 min str8 then I will put it in the fridge for 4 hrs pull it out scoop out all the plant matter put back in the fridge for an hour pull it out strain the water.squeeze together wrap in tin foil heat then add pressure heat and add pressure till completely dry. Do you guys think it would work and how much would I yield.

Don't do it. Invest in some proper bags and source some bulk materials. There's no point in washing 5g in a mason jar with no screens. You might yeild .5g if your lucky and even that will probably be mostly contaminant.

Would it be hash tho all I want is .5 I got this idea off this site as long as I get all the plant matter out it should be only trichomes left at the bottom right

I'm saying no. It won't make decent hash and 5g is really not enough starting material to get anything worthwhile.

No problem. Just enjoy the herb, I would hate to see it go to waste, and this is coming from someone who almost exclusively smokes water hash now. But if I only had the 5g I would just roll a few fat joints.

Unfortunately everyone is correct, 5g is just not enough material to yield that much. If your looking to make it into a concentrate, perhaps look into rosin? The yield would be pretty good and quick to make.

Yeah That hash looks horrible.
I dunno... as far as hash goes it looks like hash...

Ive been thinking... what you make...the "full melt"... doesnt really qualify as hash. Hash implies inclusions... you stuff appears to be about as devoid of inclusions as is possible... so...

You need to come up with a different name than "hash"...lol

Not at all.

Some of us like the putty and thats what it looks like to me.
why not pursue something like frenchy cannoli style if you like the putty so much? instead of pursuing low quality filled with contaminant. There's a big difference between good putty and bad putty and that stuff pictured above is bad putty. You can visibly see the plant matter in it.

The whole point of hash is to remove the plant matter and smoke the glands.

Hmm... I have some suger leaf trimmings and was wondering if anything would come out from them. It's from a 20g harvest, so you can imagine the miniscule amount, but since I have nothing to with them, I though fuck it I'll make hash.
