Alright, in a few months I'll be starting my first solo grow indoors. All autos. In the meantime I'm reading up and learning as much as I can about when to harvest, nutes, curing, etc. I wanna do this right the first time. (I know Im going to screw up, but my brother and I tried a few plants, and I let him do everything because I had no idea what was going on, and, well, yield sucked -~1oz off three plants- and the bud sucked more.) Trying to make sure that doesn't happen with me.
Alright, I'm currently living with some room mates. They dont care if I grow, but I cant have the house smelling like pot. I was planning on using ONA Gel to fix this, but basically here is my shopping list.
-2 grow tents. 1 48''x48''x60'' and 1 24''x48''x60''
-2 6'' vent fans (1 for each tent)
-2 400w HPS/MH lights. (Both for the main grow tent) Plan on using the MH bulbs for veg and switching to HPS a week after flowering begins
-1 Tower oscillating fan for main tent.
-15 3 gallon grow bags
-A combo of Ocean Forest, Happy Frog and Light Warrior for a grow medium
-Temp/humidity gauge
-A few other things that I cant remember right now thanks to some cheap but effective schwag.
Alright, basically I want to put 15 plants inside my grow tent. I figure 48'' x 48'' = 16 square feet. Is 15 too high a number? I plan on having a daily or semi daily rotation routine to distribute light. I would be hand watering every other day or so. Unless my plants need more. Nute schedules I'll be starting off at 1/4 for the first couple weeks, then 1/2 for a few weeks, then full nutes from week 5 to finish. I'll be using Dutch Passions Think different (7) AutoMazar (3) AutoXtreme (2) and AutoBlueberry (2). And I'll have two extra seeds JIC. After waiting patiently and making sure they're okay for a few months, when I harvest, I'll be cutting all branches off two (Maybe more) plants at a time and doing a quick trim and hanging them in tent number two. (Remember, cant have the whole house smelling of weed. I'll be upstairs, so idk if that makes a difference in ease of scent control or not.) I figure hanging them in a tent for a few days will be sufficient to then do a proper trim and then on to jars, burpings and etc. (People around here hate dry buds, myself included. If you can throw it at a wall and make it stick, you've got a keeper for a dealer. No, Ive never actually thrown weed at the wall nor do I expect it to stick) and the tent would help out with the smell a bit, right?
Also, just for shits and giggles, how much bud do you think I'd get out of this? Am I too optimistic at an ounce or two per plant? I mean, there's reports of 150gs to like 300+ per plant on a couple of the strains I want to use, but I accept that i am a noob and will not yield that.
Also, say everything goes right (yea, like that'll ever happen) what would you price an ounce of this at? I mean by the ounce? A lot of this will be kept for personal use, but some family and friends could definitely use some bud.
