Idea for making a quick glycerin tincture

Please don't flame as this is just an idea and I want to know if it would work or not. So here is my idea. I have a single cup coffee Brewer which came with its own reusable filter. So if I put an ounce of finely ground bud (not decarbed) in the filter and fill the reservoir with 12 oz of glycerin and brew it, I'm thinking the heat would decarb the bud, then after brewing take the bud and put it in the glycerin to steep as it cools, would this work? Or should I decarb the weed first? I don't have my own place so I'm kinda limited on options as far as decarbing due to the smell. Now I know brewing it will make a smell too but at least it speeds up the process.

I'm going to let you be the guinea pig here, I'm guessing the brew cycle is too fast on a coffee pot. But I am curious, make sure you post what happens.

I'd say it might work if you decarb first. The brewing process wouldn't be long enough or hot enough to decarb it properly imo.

If smell is your problem take a a few small mason jars with your decarbed weed and glycerine. Lay a cloth in the bottom of the crock pot, put in on low, fill with water over the top of jars, jars sealed tight, let it go for 24 hrs. Done.

Hence adding the weed back into the glycerin after brewing to allow it to steep as it cools. But maybe that may not even be enough time for a proper decarb/extraction.

I've tried drinking (not decarbed) bud in tea, like just pouring boiling water on it and letting it steep for a bit. It's hit & miss by strain but typically doesn't have much if any noticeable effect. That's why I'm thinking it needs to be decarbed to be more effective.

After thinking about it some, I thought about changing the process. Idk if my coffee filter will hold an ounce because it is a single cup brewer. What if I put as much decarbed bud as the filter can hold, run it, strain the glycerin, fill the filter with fresh (decarbed bud and keep repeating the process until all the bud has been brewed? Or will that make the glycerin too hot and ruin the goodies?
