Thanks for the fast reply :) I guess i'll have to buy my frends overpriced seeds or get my brother to order them >.< This is a off-topic but i think you will find this intresting.... I researched how the finnish law handles marijuana and it seems that growing it is almost completly legal but the purpose of the plant determines the legality. Tough growing is rare cause of the common attitude in finland that thinks marijuana is a dangerous and lethal drug caused by the US propaganda in the 70s. For example you could grow weed here in front of your window if theres nothing that can prove that the plant will be harvested and used as a drug. There is ofcourse multiple examples where the police has destroyed the plant for drug suspicion.
I hope you find this as intresting as i did ;)

Question:

Does it matter if a plant has a lot of pistils or very little? Pros and cons of each.
I am very sorry for not replying sooner. I honestly thought I had but just found the tab where I was in the process of answering. If you have more pistils you will have denser buds. I honestly feel that the more pistils you have the better quality and density you will find in that bud. The quality also has a lot to do with the strain itself so be careful not to mix those 2 answers up ;-)

I harvest when my trichs are about 60-70% amber. If you don't have a microscope then I would suggest waiting a week or 2 after you feel they are ready so as to add to the potency. Hope this helps and no worries about my time :D I answer questions on here in my "free time" haha

Glad to hear you are on the right track to getting your garden started bud. I find that very interesting actually and I would suggest keeping your garden as hidden as possible for the fact if they just decide to get a wild hair up their ass they could prosecute you for illegal substances. Also you have to consider if your plant is classified as "mature" (there is a large difference between imature and mature) they may be able to still prosecute you on suspicion. You may want to keep your garden hidden from everyone until it is more legal or until you have no worries. Legal or not though, be warned there are always loopholes where asshole mounties will still get you. There is also the problem of rippers so be cautious when growing this beautiful plant. Good luck and I wish you the best. Please keep us all informed on your progress.

hey joker, just checked my plants and there's a green sort of mould growing on the soil, not much and i've only noticed it today. any ideas? i did recently fit a CO2 generator made from yeast sugar and water, think that could have something to do with it?

Absolutely not on the yeast, sugar, and water, you can see in my journal entitled "My first RIU journal" (In my sig) that I used that too until I got my tank and regulator. I never had a problem with mold. If you can afford it you may consider a sulfur burner. If you can't afford that you can try carbonated water foliar fed. You could also wash off the mold using water and your fingers. Soap can also be applied in small doses. Should help some. I haven't had too many problems with mold so can't speak too highly from experience but I know this does work as I have seen it done through other gardens and I personally washed off the mold and never had a problem with it again.

hey there, if youre the answer man, maybe you can help me.

i googled the yield of white widow feminized plants - it said indoor 450 grams but outdoor up to 900grams per plant, another site said 600 grams per plant, are these figures accurate? and if so how do i make sure im getting this amount ? :( newbie soz

Actually this isn't a noob question but rather a FAQ. If you go to say (hypothetically) Speedy Seeds and he shows AMS yielding 600g outdoor and see Nirvana yielding 900g this is all in the breed and sometimes false information also. If you grow outdoors and have a decently moderate year you will yield 600-900g per plant. The yield depends a lot on how the plants are grown. Sometimes you can get more than this sometimes less, it's all about how they are cared for. If no problems you will yield greatly, but if you have even 1 problem (lights don't go out at the right time) you will reduce your yield. Hope this answers your question lol

Opinion question: I brought back some seeds from some weed I bought when I was in the Bahamas. The weed they came out of was pretty shitty, but it may have just been dried too long/poorly grown. Do you think I should bother planting them so I can have an "exotic" sort of plant, or just stick the local bagseed I've been using?

Dude to be honest with you I would plant that shit in a heart beat. The quality of the bud shouldn't set you back because the potency and dryness is all in the methods of drying and curing. If you can master these you will have grade A+ buds in no time lol

Hey guys I am drying the rest of my first harvest in my grow tent (no longer are any plants growing in there). My Question is this: Should I have one of my quiet little clip on fans blowing air, or is the carbon filter enough? Right now I have just the filter running, it is rated as like a 140cfm fan and my grow tent is a GL80 2.58 x 2.58 x 6 ft tent (about 40 cubic feet).

Will the filter be pulling enough air out of the tent that I don't need to have any other fans on? Should I turn the filter off and have a clip on fan running? Temp is a steady 70 and humidity is 50-60

Sounds like proper conditions for drying bud to be. Maybe lower the temps by placing the clip fan inside circulating. You can blow the fan on the buds if you want them to dry a little faster but they might come out slightly crispy on the outside. I smoke too much ;-)
