I have never used MG, but while searching for ferts I have notice alot of use. If Miracle-Gro is so bad why is it showing up at marijuana growing operations ?

Quote "Hagedorn had noticed that raids on major marijuana growing operations often included Miracle-Gro products among the evidence seized at the site."

As the headline states " Miracle-Gro Goes After the Medical Marijuana Market"

most growers are noobs or mass producing cash croppers. they dont care enough to spend the extra money.

the problem with miracle gro is that it contains time released nutes. so u have no idea and no control over which nute ares being released, at what time, and at what amount. absolutely no control over those 3 things is a serious problem.

also, not all plants are the same, and as such certain plants like/want to eat different amounts of different nutes. Miracle Gro is a generic blend that tries to encompass all plants. its a lot of prison food. sure it will sustain life, but why eat gruel when u can have steak and lobster?

products like Earth Juice, Fox Farm, and AN, are all specifically designed for cannabis. the proper amount of the correct nutes. and fox farm is even ph adjusted to the ph levels that cannabis requires to absorb nutes.

my 2cp, do it right, stay away from miracle gro

Miracle Gro soil contains time-release nutes, but the soluble feed is like IV smack for plants. Heeeeewack! cn

Why even go the miracle grow route if there are other soils on the market designed just for Cannabis...If you want connoisseur status buds you wont use miracle grow.

lol its showing up because some people are too cheap to buy good nutes. and they'll show up here soon telling you about it. gonna say it again, just because it works dont mean you should use it. yes it WILL grow a plant but the quality of smoke IMO is far from what it could be with pretty much anything else.

In the eyes psuedo-hippie growers and activist dorks, you're a zionist slave if you grow with Monsanto.

As well as the above reasons, MG has alot of salts, Salts are very bad for any plant. I work at a nursery and will always recommend something else besides MG, Osmocote is even better than MG IMO. There is always that one person is a die hard MG fan and i will always recommend flushing every month - month and a half just to get all the salts out.

Conclusion, MG is fine if you know how to use it, If not you'll more than likely fuck your plants up.

Good luck, Happy growing, Stay high!

Why would you want to worry about about the soil over ferting yer plants c/mon now? M G takes the control we need away , and from what i've read (cos i wont use it) burns the plants, so its a no brainer , use the soil thats made for the weed ...

Feeding MG to plants is similar to you or I trying to live on coffee and donuts, it will keep us alive but we won't be very healthy. Organic fertilizing is more like having a nutritious meal. All of the components for healthy existence are there and we can function at our highest levels.

I guess I just threw my worm into the can.

There is nothing wrong with Miracle grow, contrary to people claiming otherwise. It just lacks micronutrients. As far as ratios go, every plant is different and there are very few fertilizers out there that are really well designed specifically for cannabis. A plant is a plant and cannabis plants have a huge variety of nutrient requirements depending on the genetics. It just lacks micronutrients is all.

At least from a practical standpoint anyway... the downside of miracle grow is you are supporting a company maybe not worth supporting and it is non organic and perhaps not sustainable.

Dyna grow is a better option, similarly cheap and it's more complete. Just my opinion.

You don't see farmers using MG because they use bulk salts. They're cheap, and farmers know what to use when. MG is aimed at small-scale home gardeners ... different market. cn
