If the cola is done before side branches, can cola be cut off?

I have a couple of Lowryder#2xAK47 where the colas seems done, but the side branches seem to have another week or so. Is it OK to chop the cola or any other buds that are done and leave the rest of the plant in the pot?

Ya as far as I know a lot of people do that, I don't think it would effect a autoflowering strain

The lower buds will fill out a bit more while you dry and cure the top.
