I fear needing the services of a hospital again.
I'm definitely leaning that way as well....
I mean when you need the place...its hard to avoid....having to go... its really a life saver at times...
but spend 20 or 30 days in the joint....and its an eye opener...
Plus like gb said..it is a business.....and is run like one....with a lot of one sided rules...
the nurses I had these last two visits ...were very thoughtful and seem to really care...so in some ways it can be a contradiction...
I actually helped two of them....one with a cannabis issue...and another with a pet issue....
and they actually sought me out after my proceedure... to come tell me how things had worked out in their personal lives...
on the other hand the doctors ended up not being able to do the surgical job they had set out to do...
and I got to be awake for the vast majority of it...and listen to them scrambling....to try and find a way....
and its not that they didn't try... I motionless flat on my back for close to 7 hours....
it was no fun....to say the least...

i had a hernia fixed a couple of years ago, had to be in the hospital 12 days, the itemized bill was hilarious, since i had insurance....
generic antacid tablets 12.00 each. the metered iv of morphine was 1200.....the hospital bill separate from the surgeons bill was 48,000.....4000 a day....you could stay in a hell of a hotel room and get room service for 4 grand a day....

they tried that shit with me, and i was just as rude back to them. told them i could drag my ass out of their hospital and do as good at home, without their "help"...they got nicer all of a sudden....most of them are like barking dogs, bark back at them and it confuses them for a minute

It goes far deeper than that with me. I fired my doctor and cancelled my FREE health care years ago. The next doctor that examines me will be the one signing my death certificate.
