If you had the choice......... POLL!!!!

I am working in a 10 sq foot closet.. Curently I have eight, 3 feet tall plants under a 400 watt hps.

My cousin called me recently and told me he has a ton of grow equipment he would give me for free!!! 400 watt hps 400 watt metal halide, to cooltube fans, a carbon filter, ect. ect. I get it all on easter.

So heres my question, Since I dont want to expand outside my one closet, which would you use: 800 watts of hps light (orange/ red spectrum) or 400 watts of metal halide and 400 watts of hps (blue /orange/ red spectrum)

get 2 1000W HPS.

Halide through veg. MH and HPS for the first month or so of flower. Then just HPS the rest of the way. Some plants respond well to adding the MH back in the last couple of weeks. Thats just something you will need to play with. Thats what I would do..........

Nice JN, and Happy Easter. Wish the Easter Bunny would bring me some grow equipment. All he left last year was a couple of chewed up plants and some little round chocolate candy that tasted like shit!!!!!!

i would go with 800 watts of HPS. Flower Power!!!!

hmmmm.. I dunno guys.. m.h. i believe does use more energy (ballast), but its also a bit cooler, plus i heard blue is good for resign production... But on the other side, hps will produce bigger buds im thinking... i dunno which to chose!!

I think you need two lights in their. because of the way it is shaped you need two lights alot lower than the one you have now.

I would go with (1) 400 mh, while they are small, in veg and two 250's or 400's hps, when you flip to 12/12, for bud.

I don't know 2 400 watters might be a little much for such a small closet if you can pull it off though and maintain the heat it would be cool but I don't know if the yeild is going to make up for using twice the electricity. If I could I would probably go with one of each or just use the 400 mh for veg and than use it for the first few weeks of flowering because it will cause less stretching than switch to the 400 HPS for the remainder because it will produce denser buds.

good input, Im thinking about cooling the lights as i have two fans for cooltubes... I am already flowering and dont wanna start a veg closet at the time being... They are all pretty much done stretching at this point, that pic was taken a month ago...

Lol i really dont think u guys are reading... I mean how hard is it to read before you post... Im being GIVEN, I have no choice in wattage, ect.....
