these idiots piss me off.
explain to me how rolling through a stop sign cutting off a line of traffic ... and then barely touching the gas till you accelerate to 30mph.
mean while all the people you cut off had to slam on their brakes and then return to normal speed, or floor it.. pass you and flip your douche bager ass off.:clap:bongsmilie

how does this reduce carbon emissions ?:wall::wall:

sure your saving some gas money FOR YOU, but dont kid yourself like your doing something good for the whole world:finger::finger::finger:

Hypermiling - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I didn't even know what it is until now... I do seem to do some of the things though, like slipstreaming, and coasting out of gear downhill, and becasue I live in a little rural town now with little traffic it is not a problem...

Even worked out which roads are the most uphill... (after a 300m drive I can coast all the way into town), with two small accelerations after the stop streets...

I am a conceincious defensive driver so I would never do it at the expence of someone else. In fact some of the methods seem pretty dangerous... I know my brakebooster hardly kicks in without the engine running... seems daft to ride with it off.

$1.71 here. Don't worry, it won't last long. Price has dropped because demand has dropped. Pretty soon Americans will forget all about $5 a gallon gas and start driving the price back up again. Then they'll wonder what happened to all the cheap gas. We learned nothing from the 70's & early 80's.

LOL Hypermilers.

I got better mileage in my old '87 Tercel hatchback by simply adjusting the carburetor and by choosing manual transmission over automatic. Almost 42 MPG highway.

Hypermilers are the scum of the road next to ricers that think they own the roads and will do anything from cut you off to pull in front of you and slam on their brakes.
