If You Voted For Bush STFU

About the ONLY thing Obama is good at is reading and repeating what he is reading to an audience. I can see him getting a news anchor job when his one term is over.

It's almost as if the guy has no experience.

Personally, I would insist at least one criteria for President is having owned or run a real life business. Success or failure.... I don't care. Both carry lessons needed for leadership. Both experiences give you a proper attitude and education on so many levels.

Employers and employees are two completely different kinds of ppl. Only the employer has had both perspectives however. Much more educated and involved in what's really going on around them. The big picture.

Obama lacks this....terribly.

CrackerJax.. I can see what you're saying with the experience needed to own a company, but I just see too many companies that only care about dragging in tons of money to CEO's and leaning more towards Capitalism than Democracy.

That's not what they care about. They care about performance.

it's not anyone's business how much a CEO makes. that's between the company and the stockholders, no one else. The govt. LOVES to create class envy. Don't be fooled.

What if they make that money with your taxes?

I am sorry, I do not follow..

That is my own personal opinion, I do not follow propaganda. If you can not tell by any of the posts you have seen by me (atleast in the other sections), I base what I say off of legitimate, hard facts. I do not care for opinion (as it is too easily swayed).

I am not a fan of someone who is purely driven to make their salary at the end of the day (with no regard to the well being of their country's citizens, nor the land they build on) to have power in the government.

I also do not support that the supreme court passed the law making no spending caps for (what is it?) Special Interest Groups?

you are quite free to like or dislike the motivation of others, but everyone is entitled to whatever representation in government they can muster and their motives are, quite frankly, none of your business. you may have some say over the agendas of your elected representatives, but what drives your fellow citizens is a matter of personal choice and conscience. there is a big difference between legal and moral responsibility and there seems to be a growing movement to confuse the two. they overlap at times and morality is certainly a driving force behind the law, but the subtle differences between the two are what separates a free nation from a totalitarian nightmare. yes, we have a moral responsibility to see to the welfare of our fellow man. no, we are not legally bound to feed and clothe him. government's responsibility and duty is to take up matters of law and the oaths of our elected representatives make their motivations a matter of law. the rest of us may be driven by profit or whatever motive strikes our fancy, as long as it is within the bounds of that law. when the law delves too far into matters of personal morality we find ourselves in the realm of theocracies.

welcome to the secular theocratic state.

Of course I am only referring to private corps....and if you are in the USA...that's the vast majority of them excluding Obama's takeover of GM and ilk. But be aware that all the hubaloo about AIG salaries were already written in contract BEFORE the blow out....those contracts MUST be honored.

You say you don't fall for propaganda, but you just showed an example of it.......

Corp salary is NOT the business of the public. Always look to who is doing the finger pointing and what their motivation is to point. In this case it was the govt. (who caused most of the problems to begin with...deflection pattern) and what they wanted was CONTROL.

So much for you not falling for it....

Do you talk just to hear yourself talk?

I am simply saying I would not want some CEO of some oil refining/gasoline marketing company who's main goal is to make money (in which they will subdivide a company to benefit off of taxes and avoid being labeled as a monopoly, invest jack shit into green/renewable resources -afterall they make no money that way, etc.) From what I have seen (from my views) they have no moral fortitude.

I am not allowed to have an opinion without "falling for propaganda"? Wow.. so if you're:

pro-pot you fell for NORML, MPP, RIU, etc. propaganda

anti-pot you fell for the government, NIDA, ONDCP's propaganda

There is no talking TO you.. do you always talk down to everyone? I have a different opinion than you and simply throw my opinion in the open and you speak with such condescendence.

I would seriously enjoy if you met me in person and spoke to me the way you do here.

I +rep'd you.. please read it. I appreciate it.

I just want to see people TALK, not attack and fight. Debating is fine, but when people lose their ability to state their opinion without slamming on others.. it is not fine.

The essential ingredient to every relationship you ever form in your entire life is good communication.. without it, you are nothing.

Your mistaken attitude towards business is a strong indicator that you can't put the pieces in place. I understand, most cannot. Most don't make the effort, but since wealth creation and wealth RETAINING (just as difficult) teaches a person to connect ALL the dots.... I'm ahead of most of you.

I didn't put you down, I'm trying to bring you UP. All of you. Don't get upset.... I don't.

There are tried and true ways to get the country back on track.... they are NOT being done. they are KNOWN to the current administration, but it would require an admission. An addmission they aren't willing to make. So they now try to force square pegs into round holes, and it ISN'T working.
One of the CLASSIC political tactics is to DEFLECT blame. Wall street, banks, insurance, big oil, coal, whoever is handy and connected to an issue THEY screwed up.

Every public dollar comes from the private sector. All this spending COULD have taken place in the market (not wall street), but instead it goes to the govt. who promptly eats 30% in administration costs.

Anytime I hear a person think the govt. is the solution to ECONOMIC problems, I know they haven't a real clue.

You will live better with a smaller govt. We don't have one though. The next best thing is a big govt. that lives within it's means. That is achievable, but we now have the biggest SPENDER to ever come down the pike. Spending in areas that will NOT give returns (entitlements).

Through personal life experience and many many business transactions, I know basically what works ... and I am NOT seeing it with our govt. today. Bush was bad enough, but this....this is the worst thing I have ever seen, and I lived through Carter.

Kinda funny how you state " Bush was bad enough" when before you stated that he was good POTUS..Make up your mind guy...was he good or bad enough ????:wall: I know I know I don't know anything because you the "Crackerguy" and you know it all ...
