I assume you are going up there to self surrender right?
i'm self surrendering in northern california. from there i will go to southern oregon. then at some point they will ship me to sheridan. i see my PO on monday so i should have a better idea of how long it will all take once i talk to him.

i'm eager to get this over with, just not looking forward to it all. i love my wife and son and am really going to miss them.

The BoP has a quirky travel system. Depending on where you surrender, it might be past the stop for Sheridan and then you go from Santa Rosa to Sheridan via El Reno Oklahoma ( a major transit point) and then come west again. I really don't know the routes but it would be definitely worth paying for a bus ticket to Sheridan as opposed to surrendering anywhere else and then taking the chance that you sit in County or maybe FCI Pleasanton (or anywhere else) until the BoP fits you into their travel programs. For one, you don't get money onto a commissary account until you land somewhere and its just shitty traveling by BoP. (I have been on Greyhound size bus rides, little vans and lots of airplanes. All of them suck.) IMHO

And your PO has no control of how you get to Sheridan. He probably doesn't know (nor care) how the BoP will get you from whereever you turn yourself in.

i talked to my po about this happening and he made some phone calls. it should all be a one way shot. we are doing it this way to avoid me having to go to oakland or pleasanton. i'm surrendering to a marshall in eureka. he will then transport me to medford, OR. from there i will be shipped on either a bus or small plane to sheridan.

i went from santa rosa county jail, to oakland county jail, to las vegas holding center, to oklahoma transfer center, to chicago, to pekin IL on the bop planes and buses. then i spent 3 days on a bus home, once released. it was definitely a long trip.

OK. Well, good luck and well wishes to you and yours.

i hate flying while shackled. it's a pretty scarey feeling.
Yeah, having to do the "bunny hop" up and down the stairways, all while 10 or so Marshalls with shotguns at the ready are spread about the outside of the plane. You know that each is just itching to fire his weapon.

But, in their defense, the Marshals have no idea if you are a shot caller for The Brand, Crips or just a lowly dope smuggler. They can't afford to take any chances. So they don't.

LMAO! What a day. After I got out of the pool and did some work on the computer I went to go and make a transfer online and couldn't get access to my Bank of America accounts. I had been with them for 5 years; have my personal checking and money market; business checking and savings; a Merrill CMA account and a Roth IRA with them. I see all of the account when I log onto the B of A account. So I called the 1-800 number and they said i needed to call another number which had never happened before. I then called the other number and was told by a snotty little kid that Bank of America did not wish to continue to do business with me anymore and that my accounts (except IRA) had all been closed and a certified check was being mailed to me. They would not say why or even give me answers to half my questions. Called my personal banker and he looked into it for me. Apparently...giving money to people on this forum causes some haters to report you to your bank.

Fucking pathetic. Oh well...back to JP Morgan Chase I guess. Good thing you got that check cashed in time FDD.

wtf? :?

they acted funny when i cahsed the check. called over the branch manger and he took 10 mins to approve it. dude pounded keys on the keyboard for 10 mins before he called the manager over. they wanted to know why i didn't run the check thru my bank. they even charged me 5 dollars to cash it because i didn't have an account there.

i'd start a thread a thread offering money to anyone who closed their bank of america account but that thread would seriously last for about 15 minutes. LOL.
