I have these lights that use two long fluorescent tube lights in one lamp and i was wondering if i would be able to use this to begin my growing indoors. the lights are 40 watts each and i wasn't for sure if it made a difference that 2 are there or not. I also have some CFLs that i could use, but i'd have to get my little aquarium lamp off my buddy to use them. I got a 6500K bulb and two 2700K bulbs for CFLs but i wanted to make sure that i can't use this basement lamp first. any thoughts?:leaf::leaf:

The long fluro's are fine to use if you have the space. I prefer CFL's because of the space saving and easy set up. Just think if you only use CFL's how much light you could get in there. Also get a HPS for the flowering. The fluro's are great for vegging but not for flowering, although it can be done. :-)

Ok well i have no idea what an HPS is so i googled it and it just looks like a thing that holds a CFL that is made for growing. I have this aquarium lamp that i'd have back from my buddy by the time my plant will be flowering. It's about 18 inches long and it holds two lights on each side and has a metal thing that reflects the light down. Would i be able to use this for when my plant's flowering or is there something an HPS does other than all that? Just trying to make sure I can't work with what i have if i'm going to buy an $80 lamp.
