I'm new to growing and need help starting, please help

Hi, I'm gonna try to start growing 1-3 plants in my closet. There is only 2.6ft of length and 2ft width and 4ft height. I would very appreciate the help. I'm only growing for me and not to sell so...... I'm also only able to use CFLs. I was wondering also, how to keep the odor down. How do you tell the sex? My friend is supplying the seeds so im good seed wise. How do i keep the odor down. And my budget is $80..... so please help me make this a successful grow

With an $80 budget you can't. Best thing to do is grow a low odor strain like C99 or NL5.

Pretty much what all above said, read, lurk, read.. Also hop onto the ol YouTube there are a few good series on there each about an hour long. They differ from each other somewhat but are great to get a general understanding. Good luck.
