also, yes, fir3dragon, you can get an N boost from urine, people have been using it in gardens forever.
i'd actually like to add, that while it is important to have a basic set of decent tools for this hobby, nothing replaces sound understanding, good research, and simple experience (that thing you get just after you need it). So, i'm also not going to jump on board with the notion that you have to buy "top bin" everything to grow good plants---not just herb, but all plants.

To Brittle: think about going organic--biggest cost is time/sweat equity you put in at the front end; forget about ppm and pH meters, expensive nute lines. All you have to worry about is soil, light, and environment (humidity/temp, air circ). Most problems can be addressed with simple, cheap recipes, particularly AAC teas.

i know urine contains nitrogen.. but it contains massive amounts and to my knowledge will burn the shit out of your plants...

and if it doesnt, the additional nutes you add im sure contain more nitrogen... im dont with the argument tho.. ive said all i wanted to say.. either way i believe piss is bad for your plants... there are other methods that are better... like i said if you cant afford whats needed to grow.. then dont grow until you can...no you dont need expensive nute lines either.. im using maxibloom... 16 bucks for a 2.2 pound bag.. then cal mag.. thats it.. less then 40 bucks for nutes.. then you need ph up.. well i do anyways.. pretty cheap in my opinion.... and gives me a better feeling knowing im not smoking urinated plants

and so you concede, then, that to "use urine" is not the same as "pee on your plants"...as in, you recognize the OP's original insinuation that he could use Urine to lower pH did not mean he intended to pee on his plants, but rather to add collected urine to water in order to drop the pH; thus, demonstrating your continued harping on this matter falls more squarely in the category of flaming and not constructive criticism...no?

Because piss can be used as fertilizer does not dismiss the reality that nobody is going to want to smoke your piss weed. Go ahead, put a label on your weed that proudly states it was grown with your own urine and see how many people line up for it. Fucking clueless. You don't even know the ph of your piss, do you?

i agree... i thought it was only me? 1/4 cup piss per gallon... that is fucking high as hell in nitrogen.. no wonder he needs ph down lmao

second, its absurd to say that smoking something and drinking something are the same thing.
Third, all of the shit you put into your medium that gets used by the plant, is used in its molecular form. The nitrogen is nitrogen regardless of where the nitrogen came from. Organic gardeners try to create an entire micro-ecosystem in which microbes break down organic matter into usable forms of N-P-K and the micronutrients, then feed those nutrients directly to the plant.
fourth, to return to the absurd equation of "why not drink piss if you grow with it and smoke what you grow" : you eat food from the grocery store that was grown with diluted pesticides, why not drink the diluted pesticides?

i am intrested in communication... which is why i said i was done.. but since you replied.. i might as well too... this forum is for peoples opinions... people post a thread ask a question.. and people chime in with their opinions of what to do.. like ive said.. go ahead and do what every you want.. im not smoking it..
