important darkness question!

My aunt is staying with me for one night in my guest room on thursday. my grow room is in the guest room closet, so i have to have the entire grow room shut off for around 24 hours, is this going to do any harm to the plants, they are in week 5 of veg. is there anything else i could do for them to survive?

since they are already in week 5 of vegg. i would put them into a 12/12 cycle after that 24hr period of darkness. the only thing i can think the 24hr darkness would do is put your plant into flowering.

but they are only one foot tall and i was hoping to get them to two feet before flowering, though two of them are showing small preflowers

what kind of lighting do you have? and how big of pots do you have them in?

400W MH right now, two are in 3 gallon pots, other two in 2 gallons. They are being grown in coco coir tho, meaning they require smaller pot size due to viscous root density

You should probably lock your closet cause shes gonna snoop hahah. And you could leave it off for 24 hours without any major concerns. Worst case scenario is they get tricked into flowering which is still unlikely if its just 1 day.

how do u lock a sliding door closet? haha
