This is baby Yoda x plat (day 30)

Super thick pistils and a real velvet look to the leaves, reminds me a lot of a platinum delights (sin city seeds) keeper I had back in the day that was plat dominate. It's def a light yielder but it also had a short veg, in a small pot and I left on a lot of lowers so don't take my post as a true yield representation.

Here's the last of Mac Stomper x PKB and Slurricane x PKB. 70 days since flip. Gotta say, looks and smell these things are BANGERS!!!!!!!!! That's two killers from two seeds. They had some reasons to herm if they were gonna... not a pollen sack to be seen. Have clones and will run these again.

Jelly Breath S1.

Only had 1 pheno turn out great. It's an absolute knockout in the looks department, great yield and very easy to trim. Definitely has a unique taste/smell just not really my favorite. Not sure it will make it as keeper sadly. The other phenos were a mix of small yield with medicore terps to just downright runt plants with no terps. Pretty dissapointed overall. I still feel like there is something worth hunting but you are better off getting a JB strain crossed with something else.

My Sugarcane #3 (first plant pictured in my post on the last page) is an absolute monster. Some of the stickiest weed I've ever had in my life. It just feels like its covered in resin and super potent. I haven't gotten it tested but its a keeper and I will eventually. I also have another pheno that came with a very unique smell/taste that my GF loves, so I will probably run it again.

I had a Platinum kush breath remix that was amazing but I didn't like the way it grew. Small dense buds that were hard to break up and I don't like using a grinder. Literally the only reason I never ran it again.

Still to this day the top 2 plants I've ever grown were when I ran my first 2 IHG seeds, Jelly Sickle. These plants are the only reason I started taking cuts and looking for keepers. I'm still hunting for something close to it, just look at my post above.

Having grown and loved like 10 different Jelly Breath crosses, growing the S1 was pretty much a total disappointment.
2 hermies, small buds, slow flowering, low rosin yields, and terps are rather dull and mostly towards fried onion. Lots of frost though.

I would definitely recommend getting Jelly Sickle or Platinum Jelly over the S1

so what kind of sugar cane phenos have you guys seen? thinking if i should continue to hunt this pack or not. i only popped two seeds and they were vastly different one plant is very tall and lanky likes to grow large elongated flowers has a intense orange smell. the other a much shorter plant grows small bulbous flowers the plant turns almost completely black with purple flowers smells of fuel and musk. thoughts?

i made the decision today to drop the purple pheno its too much of a low yielder the one that smells like oranges yielded about 3 times as much vs the purple pheno i also think the flowers on the orange smelling plant are better quality as well. the only thing the purple one has going for it is its color thats about it. im sure there are other phenos to be had but im gona run some other stuff for now

Cost me like 300usd after everything

Short version: All around meh.
Long version:
Got a crazy red cookie pheno, but a cigarette got me more taste and effect lol
Others were purple slurricane Dom plants, one was kinda nice, but still very weak in every department.
Nothing to write home about seems to be IHG standard in the last years
For the prices he charge... No thanks, I have home growers packs for 20usd with better plants.

Like I said before many times, I'm up to pay even 1000$ for a pack that has a proven seed stock inside, I used to get those kind 20 years ago for less than 50usd... Are we moving forward and advancing or going backwards I can't tell already..
These breeders bring nothing but pretty pictures, no documenting, no transparency, no known history to their cuts used, no tests, no smoke reports.. hell I buy orange and lemon trees for 50 bucks that has more work and R&D put to them for over 2-3 years
Truly is sickening to see what fast cash does to people
When I think in my head about breeding and making seeds I see no possible way in doing even 1 strain in less than 1-2 years.. just not possible if you even wanna come close to a resulting plants which resemble what you started with and aspire to get to !
These people pump out strains more faster than I can remember them, I got burned once, never again.

Whoever has the prettiest pictures and most IG followers is what sells these days unfortunately. The best you can hope for is that they even bothered to test their seeds. But mostly it's a shuck 'em and f**k 'em (us, the consumer) mentality.

I was out of the game for a long time, got back into it 3 years ago as the whole market around me went to shit and it was worth it again
But after running so much seeds...

I always notice that the upcoming drop is always the best we've ever seen. But then the companies never seem to use any of those strains for their next this is the best drop. When I see stickers like "I love Pheno hunting" I think... You're paying someone money so you can do the job they should've done...

Different strokes I guess. It's insane to think seeds from a plant could be worth up to $1000 for a pack. Proven or not, doesn't matter to me. Good bud isn't hard to find or grow especially now a days with all the readily available cuts, if you're doing it for profit then 90% of smokers don't give a damn what strain you have or what elite cut you run. Only people that truly care are us the growers, who in my opinion are getting absolutely fleeced over hype, fomo and pretty pictures. As long as there's easy money to be made it won't stop. But that's enough derailing the thread for me sorry in advance
