in need of help, fungus spores in soil

I germinated a WR seed ten days ago. Ive been watering regularly and as needed using distilled water. the seedling looks beautiful shining underneath a single 175 watt hps. I used organic miracle grow as my medium, but I keep having to pull out these little grey spores about a centimeter tall. My first instinct tells me that its fungus and isn't good. If anybody has any tips or suggestions it would be very much appreciated

stop watering ur plants, and let the soil dry on the top. u can try spraying the soil with antimicrobial soap (Alkyl dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chloride) n water. it didnt kill my plant (i like to water 1 plant with chemicals to see what happens). hydrogen peroxide n water sprayed on the soil might help too.

Why would you want to kill microbes in organic soil? Makes 0 sense, I go to a lot of trouble building up a healthy micro herd.

To the OP:

Fungal spores are microscopic and whatever you are seeing isn't them. Does sound like too much water though.

Water well, to saturation, then allow to dry out. Overwatering isn't the amount, but the frequency.

Yeah, microbes are good.

Since you have only been growing for like 10 days, that would mean the plants are not in their "forever" home" and you will be up-potting. When you up-pot, get yourself some real soil like Fox Farms Happy Frog or Ocean Forest.

You'll never us MG again.
